  • Great quality Rock
Size: 40 POUND
The media could not be loaded. I honestly never write reviews, but I’m actually very impressed and extremely satisfied with this rock for my aquarium. Came with big chunks and small chunks. You can easily stack them up. I’m using mine for my African cichlids tank. Looks great!

  • MUST HAVE AFRICAN CICHLIDS
Size: 40 POUND
The media could not be loaded. This rock is perfect for African cichlids. A lot of reviews complain about the rocks being chalky upon arrival but this is honestly no problem at all. I unboxed the rocks, individually sprayed them off with a hose, then added them to a large bucket and ran water through them for about 20 mins maybe emptying the cloudy water out of the bucket 3 times. Then soak them over night and give them another rinse in the morning and they will have your tank as crystal clear as it was. They’re also good for the pH of the water because they calcium carbonate. They’re also really easy to stack and place which I enjoyed. I didn’t bond them because I will be rearranging the rock about once a month to keep them for claiming territories. Luckily, this rock makes is so easy to create different beautiful aquascapes. ALSO. If you go buy this rock in town at any pet store or aquarium shop it is running 35$ for 7lbs. This deal is 90$ for 40lbs. Well worth it. ... show more

  • Great rock.
Size: 40 POUND
Just purchased two boxes of this rock for my new 125 gallon saltwater tank set up and I am really loving the look of it. I have always purchased live rock for the beneficial aspects of it, but recently my live rock purchases have come with unwelcome hitchhikers which is irritating after a while. Live rock can also be a task to position in your tank without toppling over. This rock goes together like puzzle pieces and I feel as though I will not have to worry as much about my hippo tang being crushed by toppling rocks since she loves to nestle herself in between crevices (I do not like to glue live rock together because I move it around too much due to corals). For the most part I received some pretty large pieces (by large I would say football size) but that was no problem for me as I have a larger tank. You can also use a hand saw to cut down the rock if you so choose. I did start to clean off the rock before placing it into my tank, but all that is on the rock is sand so that will obviously settle after a while. If you are adding this to an already established tank I think I would take the time to clean that extra sand off so your tank is not cloudy for hours. Two of the rocks came broken but honestly it did not hurt anything; I placed the larger part on the sand bed and used the smaller part to stack. I even had small broken pieces at the bottom of the box that I was happy about because I can glue corals to them in the future. ... show more

  • Great Value!
Size: 40 POUND
I ordered this 40lb package of reef rocks. It came with 6 large rocks, a medium one that I’m using as an island and various smaller ones as well which made nice additions for the overall aesthetic of my tank. I had 2 live rocks and a arch rock (purple) prior to getting these. I would definitely recommend this if you want to get a good bundle for a great price! ... show more

  • Perfect amount of rock for my 75gal tank
Size: 40 POUND
This was the perfect amount of rock for my 75 gallon tank. Also, as I rinsed off the rock before putting it into my tank, I was surprised how little dust/crud came off. Probably one of the best value purchases so far in setting up my tank.

  • GREAT rock for the price but....
Size: 40 POUND
OK. I will weigh in here. GREAT rock for the price. Texas Holey Rock jumped to 125 / 40lbs, bought this at 75. Bought it for my Cichlid tank and it looks great. THR has a smoother surface texture and has larger holes the fish can swim through. I actually like the more interesting surface texture of the CSSR. And by by stacking it you can create your own holes. It was also uniformly whiter than my THR. I mixed 1 40lb box with 190lbs of THR in a 125g tank. They look fine together. Update, pulled 1 star. Recently purchased 50 lbs of Florida Reef Rock for $95 from ReefCleaners.org. This rock is the best. Much more porous and is easy to build with than the CSSR. Bought 100 lbs for my reef tank and it looks great. If I were to do my Cichlid tank over, I would go with the FRR. Amazing service. ... show more

  • Great Rock if you use it right
Size: 40 POUND
Its man made base rock. Love the rock and love the price. One thing to note is that you NEEEEED to soak this in saltwater to get all the silicates and excess material out before you put it in your tank. soaking this rock in saltwater for weeks (or impatient people can cut the time down by digging out the soft material by hand) will bring out all the holes and caves in the rock that are covered in soft material that would just leach into your tank potentially causing a small tank crash. I did this with my first man made base rock and it killed my trumpet coral, plating monti, and a mushroom (like $30 total so it wasnt a huge loss). If you give this rock time to soak you will love the results as it is full of caves and crevices that look amazing in the tank. ... show more

  • Great rocks.
Size: 40 POUND
A few months ago my wife bestowed upon me the gift of a "saltwater aquarium" which, in truth, was just an empty glass box, a pedestal, and whole lot of work. Fast forward 2 months and I'm now writing a review about rocks. I'm not a rock conseguire, or a rock expert, but these seem to be some pretty good rocks. Lots of texture and holes. Good shape and size (large and medium). I bought 80 lbs of rocks and while I didn't weigh them they certainly felt like 80lbs. If I ever find myself with the need to buy rocks again I'll certainly buy more of these. ... show more
