I’ve been brand loyal to Doc Marten for 20 years now, but recently I’ve been looking for a boot less fashion-centered and more work-inspired. I’ve tried Red Wings, Sorels, and now these. There is no comparison, no competition. Game over, Carhartt wins. They take about 30 minutes to break in, tops. They’re comfortable, they’re light-weight and they’re heavy-duty. Whether I’m doing chores outside, logging, hiking, fishing or working at the tattoo shop, they’re the only choice. Simply put, you need a pair, no matter what the job.

Most times buying in store is easy because you can try them on, when buying online your decision is a little should I or skip it. This time the boot fits the person and the comfort level is perfect!

These boots I bought for my wife, and she loved them soo much, that she talked me into getting her a second pair. She says that the boots are her most comfortable shoes she has. She wears one pair for work, and one pair for dress.

Bought it half a size bigger and it’s still a little tight? Felt uncomfortable the first couple weeks and it still hurts my feet unless I wear long socks or else the top of the shoe rubs against my legs and causes it to sore. Still a good work shoe for my 10 hr shift but it’s promoted as a work shoe that allows for air flow to keep your feet dry which I haven’t seen. I bought it specifically because it’s supposed to be waterproof but I’ve spilled water on it and it still soaked through a little. Definitely more water resistant than other boots but it’s not completely water proof from what I’ve experienced.

I work in manual labor, not sure how long these will last but so far they’re really comfortable and true to size with enough room to not have your toes crunched up. I was shocked by the arch support as I was planning on buying inserts for these. I have huge arches in my feet and they sit in so comfortably.
