I ordered a size 6 short, but it runs like a a tall size 4. A belt helps cinch in the waist, but even after washing in hot water and throwing in the dryer, the length is mighty long--longer than boot length even. (I'm 5'3.) However, that being said, the jeans are comfortable (definitely a LOOSE fit), and good for spring wear and you can probably wear a pair of thermal tights with them in the winter. The best work pants I have found as far as fit and comfort. The 6 short is still a tad long but much better than a 6 regular! If I'm getting ready for work, I roll up the pants at the bottom by a few inches so I don't wear them out before being my boots on. I'm 5'3" and 130 pounds and the waist is perfect. ... show more

I use this as my gardening and studio arts pants. Love the phone size pocket on the thigh (fits pixel regular...not phablet size). Fabric is soft and it's fine with me that they are not the same fabric as the men's version. Washed clean easily. I reckon it would not suit heavy work such as daily construction but it's just fine for DIY. ... show more

I was surprised that the coal color had a purplish hue. They still look great with white, tan or black tops. Great pants for my work in a manufacturing environment...it is not very strenuous, but it is dirty and I need to carry a lot of items in my pockets. After only having the pants for two weeks, they already had a hole in them; fabric slowly degrades away. It turned a lighter color and then the fabric fell off in a perfect circle. I only wear the pants once a week. They are not holding up like I thought carhartt pants would.

They fit on the small size, had to return. I usually wear a 6S. They had no give in the waistline.
