I wasn't sure if these pants would fit me because I'm only 5' and 115 lbs. The inseam length wasn't included in the description, but these were not super long on me, maybe only by 2-3 inches. I got a size small, I normally wear a zero or XS, just depends on the brand. It is a more relaxed fit on me at this size, but it's very comfortable and the fabric is thin but durable and of good quality - it doesn't attract lint or wrinkle easily. It's also very breathable, something I really need for working during hot humid Midwest summers. I don't plan on using the cargo pockets, but I'm happy they don't look or feel bulky like other cargo pants. These pants feel like they can take a beating and still come out of the wash looking new, so for that and the comfort and functionality, they would be worth the price. ... show more

I've lost weight and my favorite hiking pants no longer fit, so I ordered these for that purpose. I ordered the black in size large. These pants are extremely comfortable and true to size. As advertised, the fabric is stretchy in multiple directions, which is perfect for hiking/working around the yard/crawling up & around large rocks on hikes, etc. The fabric is medium weight and breathable; it feels like it'll hold up well over time and not tear easily. The stitching is done well and looks solid, as you'd expect from this brand, and the waistband is stretchy and comfortable. I appreciate the drawstring on the waistband, because I had to pull it tighter to get these to fit me best. The one thing that isn't made overly clear in the listing is that these are HIGH RISE. If you go to "Product Details" and then "Style", it says it there, but nowhere else. I don't like high rise pants and might not have ordered these if I'd realized that was the style. They fit well on me everywhere except the front rise/abdominal area (where some women get a "pooch"), which is larger & more baggy on me than I'd prefer. ... show more

I got these pants to use for hiking and they are great material that purpose because they are light weight and a bit stretchy. I washed and dried these as usual but the manufacturing press marks remain. I am guessing after more wear/wash/dry/repeat cycles, the perma-wrinkles will come out but I don't love the creases and I won't be ironing hiking pants. These pants have elastic ankles which help keep out the bugs but for me it channels the 90's track suit pants. Wearing them, I feel frumpy. I ordered a medium because that is my typical size but these are big. Medium in this brand is 8-10 whereas most brands medium is 6-8. I was concerned the small (4-6) would be small but I should have sized down. These are a "loose" design so I would have been fine with a small. There is a drawstring so that will allow me to wear these despite them being baggy. The cargo pockets are roomy and did fit my galaxy S24 but because the material is so lightweight, I won't be using those pockets for my phone because it swings around and keeps hitting my leg. ... show more

These Carhartt pants are well made overall and have a lot going for them, but the fit didn’t quite work for my body type. For context, I have more muscular legs—from thighs through the calves—and narrower ankles. In terms of sizing, they fit my thighs and hips about as expected for a medium, so that part was right on target. The material is also comfortable, and the construction feels solid with plenty of useful pockets. However, the fit through the lower leg is where things didn’t work for me. As the fabric moves down my calf, it becomes too tight and restricts movement while walking, which makes them less comfortable for everyday wear. At the same time, the elastic at the ankles is actually too loose, which defeats the purpose of jogger-style pants that are supposed to taper and stay fitted at the bottom. Color-wise, I really liked the dusty olive—it’s a great neutral tone that stands out without being too loud. Overall, while the quality and design are good, the combination of tight calves and loose ankles makes these a no-go for me personally, so I won’t be wearing them. ... show more

This is my first pair of Carhartt pants and I'll never go back! They're light, breathable, comfortable and soft but also somehow simultaneously sturdy and well-made. I hiked for hours on a chilly April morning that turned humid and hot a few hours later and I was comfortable the entire time. I slipped a couple of times and didn't experience a single tear. Oh, and the pockets! So many glorious pockets that are generously sized for my wallet, phone, keys, whatever you need. I ordered up a size based on the size guide but it really wasn't necessary. My usual size would've been fine but at least the drawstring kept them in place. Exceptional quality for the price, I can't recommend them enough! ... show more

I really wished these Carhartt Cargo Pants worked out for me. I work in veterinary and both the overall comfort and pockets sold me. Mine were a little too big for myself, so I would recommend ordering your TRUE size ( I went with my old pants size XL since I don’t like cargo pants really tight). The length was perfect for me at 5’5 but they were too big still in the waist even with the draw string. The material felt durable and again, was comfortable and I think would hold up well handling animals all day. Well worth the price if you get the righty size for you. ... show more

These pants look stylish and are packed with features. That’s why I’m so disappointed I can’t actually wear them! Based on the product sizing, I was between sizes and ordered up. That was a big mistake, because the pants I received are enormous! The waist is not even close to fitting even with the drawstring, and yet the inseam is a bit short. I measured the waist at 48″ with my tailor’s tape, not even stretching the elastic. The size guide lists 40.2″ for the waist measurement! The only other Carhartt clothing items I have are shirts and hoodies, so I’m not sure if this is normal for their pants sizing. Just beware of ordering up and be prepared for heartbreak. ... show more
