First of all, Have any of you ever seen anybody walking around with there toes turn up in the air? Well, when you have hammertoes all the shoes you look at have the toe box turning up. These have a removable insert. I wear a 13 but I order 13 W so I can insert 2 Memory foam insert for each shoe. I have had these about a month and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Usually, I can just go shopping at a Big box store and by the time I've walked around on those concrete floors, my feet are killing me NOT WITH THESE SHOES. Just yesterday I was in Walmart, Lowes, and Home depo. I never did that before. I'm 62, broke both of my feet when I was in my 20's. I have tried every kind of shoe out there. I bought my second pair recently. The picture shows old and new. I’ve worn the first pair just about every day for a year. Since I am a motorcycle technician I’m on my feet and crouching all day. These work shoes were very kind to my feet. I bought carhartt replacement inserts for my old pair too. I bought 11.5 wides. Perfect fit, comfortable, durable, light, flexible, not too hot....very nice. I’ll rotate my old and new ones now. Very happy ... show more

The boot looks great and also feels great on your foot. But after about 45 days, the sole is starting to come off of one of the boots. Not sure if I just got a bad pair or what, but it does suck that it started doing this after the return period is over, I'm not hard on my boots, I work in an office setting, with an occasional trip to a job-site. I'd recommend inspecting the boots thoroughly after a few weeks of use, I would have returned the boots if I had noticed this a few weeks ago. Fit is somewhat on the large side in the width. These are my first Carhartt boots and I'm not disappointed at all. Fit to my normal sneaker size. No break in needed, felt comfortable right out of the box and I wear them everyday they are more comfortable than sneakers in my opinion. Look great for office work, casual, or any situation really. I purchased these boots hoping they would last longer than than my last 2 pairs. My last 2 pairs were HALF the price and lasted at least 9 months, these boots are already separating at the toe after 3.5 months of light use. I purchased them because of carhartts reputation for durable work clothing thinking they would last longer than cheap off-brand boots but apparently their boots arent made to be worked in. I would not recommend these boots to anyone, for the price there are much better options. Very disappointed. ... show more

Boots are really perfect fitting. They are confortable and lightly soft to my feet. I choose this kind because at my work I need to be standing up almost 8 hrs/day and my old boots make feel really tired after hours. I really like these boots. I have plantar fasciitis and it has been extremely difficult to find shoes or boots that dont kill my feet. I have prescription orthotics that I replace the original insert with. If you have plantar fasciitits, without doctor made orthotics, I dont think any shoe or boot will solve your problem. The store bought inserts are a joke so dont waste your money. What I like about these boots. Light weight. Wedge sole that doesn't make the bottom half of the boot look white. So many other wedge style boots have the light color bottom sole that looks cheesy to me. These look pretty good. Wedge soles are a must for me as anything else kills my feet. What I dont like or wish would be changed. 1) The worst boot laces ever. These come untied several times a day. Why anyone on Earth would make a boot lace out of this material is beyond me. No matter how tight you pull them they will work themselves loose. 2) No gusseted tongue. I knew this when I bought them but if they had this they would be a much better product. These two things are why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I would buy them again. ... show more

I have to admit this is an unusual shoe in that it looks like a boot but feels like a moccasin, but in usual Carhartt fashion, it is well made and feels like a quality product. I was initially concerned that I ordered the wrong size as my foot didn't easily fit in right away. I found you have to really open up the laces to get the foot to slide in but once it does it is so comfortable. I'm kind of lazy about lacing shoes but these snug up very quickly, especially with the single set of 'hooks'. On that note, my only complaint thus far has to do with the position of those hooks when kneeling, something I have to do quite a bit for my job. They protrude quite a bit and in such a ways then when my feet are behind me (in a kneeling position) they press into the floor and into my feet a bit.
