I got these for my husband about a week ago. He says they fit true to size and have been holding up with going to work. He needs new boots every 4-6 months because that’s usually when his boots start falling apart. So far so good, but it’s only been a week. I’ll know more in a few months to see if they hold up past the 4-6 month mark lol. ... show more

I am on your typical jobsite daily. lots of climbing, twists and turns. These boots stay with me. The high ankle support makes me not have to worry about turning an ankle. And the boots have a good sole so no slipping around. I've worn Redwings for the last 5 years. My job provides me with boots, so I take care of my feet. Had a problem with Redwing shipping to where I live (had a store 10 miles from my last residence) because now I live in Japan. Regardless. I wanted to try these Carhartts. I needed a larger (wider) boot. These claimed to be extra wide. And they are, I just wished they were wider. That is really my only complaint. They have just got broken in, and that takes a few weeks and so they are not as tight as they once were. But nowhere near the comfort of my last boot. I am not sure I will buy these again. I have no regret getting them. Just wished they were a fraction wider. And they could have come with a ratchet lace system. Or I am just lazy. ... show more

First, the boots are very tough, comfortable, and well built with thick leather. They are light for this type boot. I’ve always used Timberland Pro, and Red Wing. I decided to give these a go because I liked the price tag a lot better plus I’ve never had issues with Carhartt. The footbed is very nice. Feels like a sport insert. I also want to add I have major foot problems. I broke my leg a couple years ago so my foot always hurts. I’ve had these for 2 days so far. And so far so good. My feet have never felt better. I’m a commercial concrete carpenter so my boots take some beatings and as do my feet. The only CON I have is that the tongue us thin. I noticed some rubbing going on but wear good socks and you’re GTG. ... show more

I absolutely love these boots! I wear a size 9 so I ordered a 9W to have room for winter socks and the fit is perfect. They are quality through and through as all Carhartt products are.
