  • Great quality
Nicely made of quality leather and metal.

  • Understated fashion and good quality
Color: Black Size: 34
I needed a sturdy belt to help keep my too-loose pants secure while working at a physically fast-paced environment. There was as much wear and tear as you would expect at the buckle/pinhole area after daily use for a year. Still, the belt did not fray, nor did the buckle chip. The design was not particularly attractive, but muted which was the aesthetic that I was going for. Additionally, the matte black (instead of silver) of the buckle gave it an understated yet modern flair. As for the material of the belt - it didn't feel luxurious, yet it also didn't feel cheap. It was hard as plastic but smooth and somewhat soft. It felt like a $30 belt if that makes sense. I was perfectly happy with it, but please note that I stopped wearing the belt after a year because I no longer needed it (change of work and dress code requirements). Furthermore, I threw it away because it reminded me of all the terrible experiences I had while wearing it. Still, I cannot blame the belt for that and must give it 5 stars as I am unable to provide a reasonable warranting 4 stars instead. ... show more

  • Excellent Belt, Just Not My Size
Color: Black Size: 34
I looked at belts for quite a while before selecting the Carhartt Men's Anvil Belt. I sought out reviews and viewed photos of the product using the magnifier, just to see what kind of construction they had. I was impressed, to say the least. These belts are genuine leather and solid pieces, not thin strips with paper fillers sewn together. Very impressive. The buckle construction is chunky and heavy, very durable. All-in-all, a belt I WISH I could wear. I am at the weird end of the spectrum body-type-wise, and am quite skinny. I have a 30" waist and this belt, as nice as it is, just doesn't fit me. Carhartt belts all start at 34" and go up from there. So, even on the last hole position, it's still just a bit too big, and it leaves a lot of extra belt to have to tuck in. SO, I gave it to my son who has a 32" waist and it fits him great! He loves it. I just wish Carhartt would make belts for us small guys! I love their products and wear the Men's Twill Work Pants everyday! That's what got me to looking at more of their product line, the pants are excellent, so maybe other Carhartt products are good too. And they are. Just not my size. Oh well. Hope this helps you. The belt is very nicely constructed and well finished, but you better have a 32" waist or larger to be able to wear it. ... show more

  • Good belt, but the finish isn't for me
Color: Black Size: 34
This is a really nice belt. I bought it for a work belt, hoping it would hold up. I specifically looked for a full grain leather belt. After about a month of daily use it still looks almost new. It seems to fit true to size. I have a 30" waist but bought a 34" belt because they didn't seem to make a 32", and other reviews I read said it ran a little small. I use the smallest hole on the 34" and it is just barely tight enough. It is actually a little loose when I wear pants that are tight on me. The reason I took a star off and only gave it 4 stars is for the finish. It has a satin, almost glossy finish to it like a wax coating or something. It shows every crease, nail mark, and scuff. Not a huge deal for me because it is for work, but I would rather just have an oiled leather belt. After buying this I bought the Wrangler Rugged Wear belt in brown. I love it. I wish I would have bought that in brown and black rather than this. I reviewed that as well, but in short, it is full grain leather, the leather looks better, and the triple stitch is a nice look. ... show more

  • Finally a well built belt!
This is the belt you want if you're tired of buckles breaking, screws falling out and leather coming apart. Its stiff leather, not soft leather that cracks on the surface and delaminates. Its holding up great and still looks almost new after several weeks of use. This belt would be right at home on the work site or going out to diner. It's also handy for holding up pants. Stop buying those soft leather reversible belts at the local department stores and give this one a try. Update 12/27/16 - Over a year later and this belt is holding up great! I'm not easy on it either, I wear it everyday and I work in maintenance, so I have tools attached to it. Its a GREAT belt. Buy 2 and you'll not have to worry about finding a good one for a long time. Update 10/07/21 - I’m STILL using this same belt 6 years later. What more can I say? This thing will hold up to retirement and beyond. ... show more

  • Solid belt
Color: Brown Size: 42
I have a 40" waist, in reading other reviews I decided to order 1 size up at 42". There are 5 holes in the belt and I landed squarely in hole #3, perfect. The belt is wide but will fit work pants and jeans easily. I can see where it may be too wide for dress pants. the belt is solid leather so you won't have to worry about stitches between layers fraying. The fold over for the buckle is, however, double stitched, I suspect this may be the weak point in the the design, this design also prevents a change of belt buckle. I suspect if the stitches do prove to be a weak point in the future this will be easily remedied with some form of metal fastener. Overall great product. ... show more

  • Keeps the pants up and does not fall apart.
After getting a Dockers belt from a brick and mortar store that disintegrated within 2 weeks (cheap finger nail thick "leather" getting torn up by the buckle). I decided to go with what's popular on amazon. Didn't regret it. It's sturdy and doesn't show any signs of wear or tear. It's a tiny bit on the wide side for my taste, but that's not a product flaw. Update: 3 and a half years later and I'm still wearing it. The leather has gotten a bit warped and discolored underneath where the buckle has been fighting to keep my pants up day after day. But structurally it's still 100% sound and looks good in the buckled state. The buckle itself has a weathered look now. Works for me. ... show more
