I recently purchased the Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Midweight Quarter-Zip Pocket Sweater Fleece, and overall, I'm really happy with it! The fleece is super comfortable and perfect for cooler fall weather. I initially ordered size XL, but found it a bit too roomy and long for my liking (I'm 5'8"). After exchanging it for a size Large, the fit was spot on, with plenty of room to move without being too baggy. The dark black color is sleek and good for wearing at work when I can get a bit dirty, but I can't help wishing they made a gray version for when I want to mix things up. All in all, it's a solid fleece sweater that I’d definitely recommend, especially for those looking for comfort and a classic Carhartt look.

This is a very nice buy. Soft, warm, nice construction, and awesome fit for wider shoulders. I kept it on for a few hours in mid 40s weather. All around good product. Noticed a couple of irish pennants so I took a star off but it's really not a deal breaker by any means.

I ordered this with my son in mind, but as I also wear a large, I tried it out for size. I have to admit, this may now be mine especially as an archaeologist I find myself working in some rather harsh weather conditions and prefer to layer during winter so as to shed clothing when necessary. I am already familiar with the quality of Carhart having purchased it upon request from two of my boys who wear it more from brand name than quality. This pull over is no different. Very well manufactured from excellent quality materials and stitched together with very nice seams which reflect high quality production. This is soft, comfortable and warm. I wear a man's size large, and even with my female proportions this fit well offering just enough room for mobility and movement. I LOVE that the sleeves were longer coming down a little over my wrists reducing bare gap between sleeves and gloves which I often find I have during the winter with other clothing. The zippered portion of the neckline offered plenty of head room when pulling it on but zipped up greatly reducing the amount of exposed neckline to the cold. It may be worn as a semi turtleneck or collared pull over. Working under rather strenuous conditions in the field I was really delighted not only to have a pocket, but one that also snaps shut. How often have I bent over during work only to lose my pocket equipment requiring me to fetch or replace lost items? Zippers are a pain, buttons are hard with cold hands, but snaps are perfect. Likewise, the side zippered pockets are wonderfully deep, and the zippers offer protection against cold gap when bending over and item loss. I like the fleece neckline and the minimal brand logo on the pocket, though I understand there are those that like the logo visible on their clothing. I like the look as well which works in both work and leisure environments. My son turned his nose up at this style being 'not something I'd normally wear' which is fine because I really like it. Teenagers...... At the present price of $79.99, this is with in fair market value for the brand and quality, and while some may bulk at price, I can assure you that Carhart quality is long term comfort wear. I am a fan!

Great sweatshirt from Carhartt. It provides just the right amount of warmth for a cool day. Its been great for fall cleanup here in the upper Midwest, it provides good warmth, but not too heavy like a jacket. I especially like the "kangaroo pocket" for your hands on the front. Nice to wear this on cooler days, and while it keeps your core warm, you can warm up your hands in the front pouch pockets. I'm 5'8", 190 lbs, and I went with size large and pleased with how it fits. Sleeves might be a bit long for my height, but the cut is good for my weight. Its not tight, with room to move around in. I am happy with the fit and their sizing. All around, really like this sweatshirt. Its soft and comfortable. It has become my go-to for wearing around this fall. For doing yardwork, for running around errands on cool days but not have to grab a jacket, and for just hanging out at home watching football games.

For review context I ordered this sweater fleece in XL and am a larger adult male. I typically wear XL in sweaters though sometimes go up a size on sweaters to have a little room for layering. That won't be necessary with this fleece! It fits my loosely yet comfortably. I find the fit to be very true and it's comfortable to wear all day without getting too hot. Being a midweight fabric, I don't think I would wear this for extended periods outdoors in cold weather, but it's perfect for going to that outdoor activity in the fall, raking leaves, etc. Carhartt is one of the premier brands in quality, durable outdoor wear. I was excited to try this new type of sweater as it looks comfortable yet stylish too. The fleece is very nice to the touch and has none of the pulls or "fuzzies" you sometimes see on cheaper fleeces. I think I'll be wearing this a LOT in the coming fall and winter here on the east coast! I now to want to purchase a few more in different color options.
