I don't get excited by a lot and especially a belt. But this is one cool well made belt. I wear only Levi jeans and like to look and roll with the best. This belt fits right in and am very happy I took the chance and bought it. I wear 36" waist Levi's 550 jeans and I ordered a 36" Carhartt belt that I can put in the first or second belt hole. It's pliable leather but thick enough to let you know you have a real "Jean" belt. The color is roughly the same as in the photo, but it looks like it varies as one would expect from real leather crafted belt. It's a satin smooth finish, not shinny and the stitching screams quality. It's currently my favorite belt. If you are thinking about buying it. Go ahead and buy it. If you can fit easily into your current size 36" jeans get the 36" belt. If your pants waist is a little tight on you current size move up a size on the belt.

I recently purchased the Carhartt Men's Casual Rugged Belts and overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I thought it would be a thick stiffer piece of leather based on the reviews of durabillity, but it is a silky piece of butter, the veal of leather if you will. Size wise, I can snug into 32's but I wear 34 jeans with a belt. I ordered a 36 and it's a good fit. There are 5 holes and I'm on the 2nd smallest. Gives me a good reason to not lose too much weight ;-) and lets face it, I'm 31 and chances are I'll be using the bigger holes before the smaller, you old people know what I'm talking about. Plus you don't want to wear a belt on the last hole, that is not a self esteem builder even if you just happened to get the wrong size belt, and you don't want just the little nub left to tuck into the loop either, they will all laugh at you! *Update* - One year later and it is still awesome. Amazingly enough, I have not gotten fatter, and the belt seems to have stretched because it is natural leather. Now I wish I had ordered the 34 because I wish I had another hole smaller. Trust the manufacturers sizing I guess is the moral! *2013 - I has to punch a smaller hole in it and it e was still loose, apparently I can lose weight after all. My dad was looking for a longer belt, so I gave it to him and ordered myself a 34.
