Leaks bad and IS NOT WATERPROOF! I purchased them because they have a toe cap (my boot's toes always seem to fail first). They are sold by Carhartt-a name I trusted in work clothes and other items. Unfortunately, like a lot of things, these are made in China. That may tell you something. Unfortunately, despite being careful to keep them clean, they leak. I need waterproof boots. I have to occasionally use water to wash down food equipment at my job. I did a task at work, where there was water contact in the form of over-spray, from a pressure washer. Not direct contact. My feet were wet from the 2nd hour of a 10 hour shift until the end. They have also begun cracking at the toe's top. Not good. They should not leak/crack after only 2 months. I work in a relatively clean, oil-free, environment. I tried to contact the seller, but have had no success.I have since contacted Carhartt and they told me to try and return them here as they have a 1 year warranty. Seems like a run-around Update: Carhartt did replace the boots, eventually. I tried to sell them off, but nobody wanted them, despite being brand new. Wonder if my review had an unintended effect. Doh!

Excellent work boot at the right price. I’m an auto tech working on a cement floor all day. Climbing in and out of tight spaces, Proven tough in slippery conditions, being sprayed with sparks, good lightweight safety toe. water proof. Been soaked in coolant, oil, grease, etc. and still going 2 years tough. Good on the back and knees. Mainly, they are lightweight. Iv spent the money on redwings and Irish setters. They are good obviously for twice the price, but to be honest this set of carhartt boots is the best pair of work boots Iv ever owned. At least in the auto mechanics environment.

Have had them for a week so far. Very very comfortable and seem to be built much better than the Timberland WP 6" boots I've been buying for years. These are much more aesthetically pleasing and fit better. I'm size 10.5-11 depending on the brand. Size 11 fit perfect for me. Time will tell if they hold up to abuse, but carhartt products usually do! Very happy with purchase and will likely pick up a second pair ***UPDATE: Have had them for awhile now (4-5 months) and can honestly say they are the best boots I've owned. Very very comfortable and holding up to everything I put them through. No signs of loose stitching or any other flaws yet. Have had them outside in the snow and ice for a month now and they keep my feet warm and have plenty of traction. Great support and they look great too. Definitely will be buying another pair. ****UPDATE: Going on over 3 years now since purchased. Boots are holding up fantastic, laces are still in like new condition. No leaks, tears, or issues with sole splitting. These are hands down the best boots I’ve ever had. Very comfortable, I wear them almost daily for long periods of time. Warm in the winter working out in the barn and yard. Carhartt really nailed this one. Buy them!

This is my second pair of Carhartt boots. These are painful to wear. The boots are a correct size and width for me, still they just rub hard in lots of places like they were too small. And these things are HUGE believe me. Heavy and huge. I have been wearing these for 4 months now and they have not broken in at all. This boot looks awesome and you could shoot it over and over with a shotgun and still wear them. But they are PAINFUL and I am not wearing them ONE MORE DAY even though they could easily last 3 - 4 years. Carhartt got this one wrong.

I’ve worn these boots every day for the better part of a year. They wore in easily didn’t have too many hot spots. Maybe that was a sign of what was to come. I’ve worn these in mud, oil, fields, woods, rocks, construction sites and they started out great. As the months wore on so did these. They lasted a long time but not as long as what i paid for. I’ve paid less for boots that had lasted longer. There are some pros however, they are very light weight. The fit was great and arch support wasn’t too much ( the kind that make your feet hurt) or too little ( uh, same) but they fit and felt perfect. They still do but they are no longer water resistant. A small puddle and you are guaranteed a flood in the old size ten. I’m just saying there are better choices out there. I guess i can use them still on dry summer days but i have to get another pair and I don’t think it will be these.
