I am always on my feet as I'm an HVAC Installer, the composite toe is a great investment as your boots don't feel like bricks. They hold up extremely well compared to other boots I've tried, wide enough where your feet aren't restricted, but secure enough where your feet don't slide everywhere. My first pair of real work boots I've bought for my job. They fit real good and the front has ample space for my toes. My feet don't feel fatigue at all after they're worn in and they ware in after about a week or 2 of use. I've worn them in 11°f weather with blistering winds on metal and they keep the cold out pretty well but after standing still for awhile no shoe can keep the cold out. The only problem I had with them is the outer sole shaved down after about a year on concrete and gripped pads and after that they don't grip well on wet metal surfaces. Furthermore I'd like to point out that even when the soles are brand new they slip easy on ice so beware. Other than that these are excellent shoes. I like the composite toe because it won't go off in metal detectors and saves your feet. They have saved my feet countless times from being crushed, broken and even impaled one time. I haven't owned many pairs of boots but I can say these are one of my favorites so far. Also my feet never got wet after being rained on all night ... show more

Very comfortable but I just don't like the teeth that hold the shoe laces they come off easy and the shoe laces fray easy... other than that they're extremely comfortable

Good boots. Good for offshore working environment. Not sure it is fully waterproof yet. Will update when it happens. Comfortable, good for full 12 hours use. These have been my go-to work boots since 2019. I'd get a new pair every one or two years. I feel that the quality has gone down recently. I've had these boots for 3 months total, and probably only used them for 2 months out the 3 months since owning them. I've had one month where I chose to where Muk boots over these due to very wet/muddy conditions. So with that being said, for only 2 months of using these boots for work, and have the stitching coming apart like this is unacceptable. I feel these boots were more common years ago than they are now. And the water resistance is lack luster compared to how they were before. As I said, these were great work boots, but now they don't live up to that quality. I wouldn't recommend Carlhart boots anymore. I'm going to try requesting a refund, but I may have past the window to that. ... show more
