Please look past the mess and just noticed the light on the ceiling! We're in the process of moving in. The light was a much needed replacement in this small kitchen area. It is aesthetically pleasing and brightens the area considerably. We actually increase the wattage on the light bulb after this photo and the lighting is much better than what it was in advance. It's self-contained and no bugs can get in it which is one of my own pet peeves. It dresses up the room without being overbearing and in the way. Definitely think it's functional and my husband installed it by himself with out any difficulty. ... show more

Looks nice, but quality is not the best. Some of the hardware is misaligned, making it really hard to put together and install. It will also make it really difficult to change the bulbs un the future. I'm returning.

Looks nice but a royal pain to assemble because the screws do not line up. God help me if i need to change out the light bulbs.

I purchased two lights, one for above the kitchen sink and another for the hallwayarea just off the kitchen that leads to my garage. They put out a nice light and look much nicer than the builders grade boob lights that I replaced. Installation would be easier with two people, but once I got the hang of it with the first light, the second one was easy. All needed hardware was included, and packaging was excellent. I had to adjust the center screw on the light bracket to shorten it, so that the fixtures were snug to the ceiling. That part was the learning experience! ... show more

I originally wrote a good review but after some time it turned out to be the worst light fixture (for me anyway) that I ever bought. Due to the design of this fixture and how it goes together, it is IMPOSSIBLE for one person to change the bulbs by themselves. It takes 3 hands, one to hold the globe in place and you need two more to try to get the holds of the rim to line up with the 3 prongs and get that screwed on all while holding the globe. On all three lights I bought don’t line up well with the holes and prongs so you have to push and pull to get it on. How can you do that with one hand having to hold the globe? Seriously, I tried everything. I didn’t realize this was a problem when I bought them. Electricians installed them and although I bought them in September, I didn’t realize until December that there was this problem because you don’t know until a bulb burns out and they said I missed my window of returns. I injured myself to boot. The globe fell in my face due to this juggling act and cut my face over the brow, an area that bleeds a lot. It was horrible trying to climb down the ladder with blood in my eyes and dripping to the floor while trying to navigate glass all over the floor with bare feet. It was scary. DON’t buy this unless you have TWO people to change the bulbs. Customer service was a nightmare and did not refund me for this product that is poorly designed. ... show more
