Don't listen to those other reviews. I bought this one for myself because of my back and neck and it is not bulky, does not take up a lot of room either. I have a queen sized bed and it does not even take up half the room. It's a little small, not like the other ones. The arm rests are a little small as well and the arm rests are not adjustable. You have to zipper up the arm rests. In the box comes 3 pieces, the cushion, and two arm rests. It's very easy to assemble as I did it in under 2 minutes. The heated massage feels really good and there is a button on the side to turn off the heat if you don't like it. All in all, I would give it a 4 star because it is not like the other one that is more expensive. But then again the other one does not have a heated massage. I really enjoy this one because it feels so good. It is easy to assemble and it is very comfortable and NO it does not take up that much room. I would say it takes up as much room as an airplane seat, put it that way. I would definitely get this if your back hurts. ... show more

I would like to say, I LOVE this cushioned back rest. I love the fact that the arms comes off allowing me to sit with or without them being attached. I pretty much use the armrest unattached so I can adjust them for my liking. The light is great for reading and the heated back massager is awesome!!! I’ve attached a travel size pillow (with satin pillow case) to the top to rest my head on and protect my hair. Without the armrest, I use the back rest as a leg rest to massage my legs for circulation from sitting/teleworking for 8 hours. No complaints at all... It’s best to try it before you knock it because everybody isn’t built the same. The cost is pretty steep but I’m okay with it since it meets my full satisfaction overall. ... show more

    • the control are on the side and behind you
The product was bought for my sister after we looked on line on Amazon Prime. It looked like the one she had before which she had loved. This carepeutic bed lounger had the heat , the massage, the Led Light, and the arms It looked perfect. the reason I gave it a 2 star is because the CONTROLS to all that good stuff are on the left side of the back which is behind her. My sister's previous one had the controls on the arm in front of her. So much easier to control when the controls are in front on the bed lounger arms where her hand can reach it as opposed to on the side and behind where she could not even see them when sitting in the carepeutic bed lounger. We returned it the same day back to Amazon Prime. This product would have been perfect with all the amenities IF the CONTROLS had been in front where my sister could see and reach them. ... show more

    • Not a bad buy, but a little odd
I'll never use the vibration or heating functions but I figured this would be a create seat for my bed with the arm rests. It's not a bad buy if you want a vibration function and don't mind using a pillow for extra support for your lower back (the 90 degeree angle toward the lower back is weird) The heating function is pointless for me and the cupholder does work despite being shallow, it just makes me nervous. The led light is well supported and is great. The arm rests are to be zipped on, which is weird too. The whole package is a good buy, it just has some odd features. ... show more

I bought this for my wife for Christmas and honestly I’m just sad I don’t have one. Super comfy, sturdy too! The light is so bright (not for direct use on eyeballs) the cup holder can fit pretty much any size cup, the vibration is cool but beware turning it on if your dog is crazy like ours, it will think it is a threat and you will pay the price for protecting it.     • A not so comfortable back rest.
Bought this back rest because I was travelling and hotels normally do not have recliners which is what I normally sleep in. It seemed to work here at home so took with me when I left on a 30-day trip beginning Sept 11. Note that I would be staying in a different hotel nearly every night of the trip as I was travelling over 6,000 miles during that time. Unfortunately the back has no give and therefore after a couple of nights began to cause me pain in my lower back. Also, the arms turned out to be a little short and the cup holder in the one arm began to cause irritation to my left arm. It also turned out to unwieldy moving it from my car to a hotel room every night. I would like to return the back rest but apparently I am unable to as the time period for returning has lapsed. Besides I think the left arm rest is beginning to collapse under weight already. I never used the reading lamp so cannot comment on it. ... show more

I've been looking at this for well over a year. It wasn't in stock for quite awhile, but recently was again. I was really excited to order it finally. I was very disappointed when it arrived. The fabric looks more velvety and plush in the pictures and the lumbar part looks like it extends more, but doesn't. I also thought the arms folded up, but they attach with a zipper and aren't very easy to attach. The light didn't work straight out of the box. The items value seems closer to $60. Most definitely not worth over $100. I wanted to love this and am returning it instead. ... show more

This product is really good if you have a bedbound parent/grandparent… This helps with the stability for their back to help them sit up and the vibrational setting is also a good help for the lower back. And the light is also functionable really a good product
