This product is made in Vietnam, it’s manufactured wood (not real wood made in USA as it claims) and box was stamped with A huge caution : materials are treated with chemicals that are known to cause cancer. I filed a formal complaint as this Is not the product that was advertised. As stated it was NOT made IN USA, not real wood or made by war veterans. Never opened the box as it clearly stated manufactured wood, made in Vietnam and materials were treated with Chemicals that cause cancer birth effects etc.... shameful that this company uses USA, MADE BY WAR VETERANS, WITH REAL WOOD and is NONE OF THE STATED. The media could not be loaded. I really like this frame! It's solid wood, it was so heavy I struggled to get it in the door. The walnut finish looks really nice too, complements my other furniture. I was a little nervous when ordering, but it was actually very easy to assemble. I didn't need any special tools or anything, and it didn't take long.     • You don't ALWAYS get what you PRECIEVE or PAY for!

This platform bed is used as my master bedroom foundation for my memory foam mattress. When I received my order, the frame itself came in one box one day, that arrived in fairly good condition, but the second box arrived the next day and was torn up so badly that it had been re-taped completely, that being said in itself isn't a major problem as all the parts and hardware were received. The two ISSUES, that I have had with this company are (#1) that if you read the company's description, the wording would lead you to believe that this product is Made In America, with a American flag 🇺🇸 in the body of the description and that the owners are Veterans, I buy AMERICAN MADE products first choice and don't mind paying more for that PREFERRED option!!! The product arrived in boxes CLEARLY marked as a Product of Vietnam. When I messaged the company about the misleading information in their description, they responded that the assembly was done in Vietnam with materials that were made in the USA?!? (#2) The fit and finish isn't that great either. The headboard and footboard overlap is 1/8th to 3/16th of an inch on both ends with sharp edges. The slats for the foundation are not consistent with the slat framework, some of the slats sit below the framework in the machined notches and with some slats sit above the main framework, consistency of spacing between the center support notches for the slats was an issue as well, some slats dropped in their respective spots, while 6-8 slats required persuasion to get in the slots. Overall, the platform bed does as advertised. BUT, if I have the need to purchase another platform bed frame in the future, I'd DEFINITELY be looking for one that would fit my needs, AT about a third or half the price!!!! I have been looking for a wood platform bed w/no headboard for the longest time. This checked all the marks. Great quality for a online buy & furniture piece under 1k. Once taken out of the box - peices were easy to move up 3 flight o/stairs by myself. No hardware required for assembly could easily do myself. Things to Note: - If this will be a everyday use bed take the slats and centerbeam to Home Depot and have them make copy’s in a higher quality wood - storage bins can fit under bed but push them under on the head/footboard sides - when moving be careful, assembly is easy because nothing locks the wood in place. UPDATED Aug 2020: please see update at the end of this review. I'm very pleased with the quality of this bedframe. I was a little concerned about the height off the floor for a platform bed but am happy to report it is at a very comfortable height. My mattress (10 inch deep) tops at around 22 inches off the floor. Aug 2020: I like my bed frame so much that I ordered another one. While it is the same listing and the bed looks the same at first glance, they are not equal. The new one came cracked, no problem, that happens. But it is nothing like the original. In the photos my old bed (full size) is the brown one, the new bed (queen size) is gray. Here's what I have observed: 1) The wood has not been treated with the same finish. Original has a satin finish, new has a rough texture that feels like there is nothing aside from a stain. 2) Original is heavier than the new, even though it's a smaller size bed. Listing said (originally) hard wood. New one's listed as pine. 3) The hardware is different. See photo. 4) The support is also different, with shorter pieces of wood on the end panel insides. (see the side by side photo) None of these changes makes it inherently bad, it's just I didn't feel the price matches the quality anymore. I am returning the new one. The return process has been good, they are being true to their word about a satisfaction guarantee. ... show more
