It's a very sturdy box. I removed the xtra scratchers and left one. He wasn't too sure about it at first, and a couple days later, I caught him sleeping in it. And he's not a small cat and the box is holding up! Def worth the money!

My cats absolutely LOVE this scratch post. It’s wide and long enough for them to get a good stretch while scratching. The only thing I’m not a fan of is how difficult it is to build. There aren’t holes for the screws, so you kind of have to force them in. On top of that being difficult it also sometimes causes the pieces to come together slightly crooked. Fun to assemble (use your own screwdriver, the one it came with gave me blisters). decently stabile for my 9lb cat. she loves the arched position. light weight enough it won't hurt anything if rattled against the wall from scratching.

The first time this product was shipped to me, it was missing the whole packet of screws and the 2 balls that went between the boards, so had to return and get a replacement. Second time, got all the necessary pieces. It wasn't hard to assemble, but was a bit hard to judge the distance at which to put the boards so that the 2 balls can roll around AND not get out. The catnip ball ended up falling out immediately after our cat got a hold of it. She's scratched it a few times but doesn't seem too interested so far. Will give it some time. ... show more

I didn't read carefully and didn't realize it was a 'cardboard' scratcher. We've ever had one so we'll see how long it holds up BUT love the design as it fits snuggly against the furniture she "thinks" it's OK to scratch on. There is a catnip ball and bell ball in between the panels and she could smell the catnip ball as soon as I sat it on the floor and started playing with it immediately; then on to the bell ball. It's rather lite weight and moved around a little when she was scratching on it, but I'm going to cut a piece of one of those rug grippers and glue to the bottom. It has some draw backs but love the design features - at least as long as it works L🙀L. ... show more

My cats were hesitant to use this but one week later and they love it! They bite, scratch and play with this very often which helps our other furniture not be a kitty scratch post. There is some mess and cleanup required if your cats are like mine but it makes them happy so i do not mind to clean up the flakes of cardboard after a night of wild kitty activities lol as you can see it can be used laying flat i am curious if once the front gets worn out if i could flip it around and them still use it. Ps. It was also really easy to put together but you do have to be very precise so everything fits correctly so some kind of markings for the plastic screws would be helpful to the customer ... show more
