I bought this capture card on sale for 100$, after a while it’s not that good. The game play recording starts lagging out and the audio starts to ring like crazy. Don’t buy this save your money for one that’s worth the money

It's a cool looking device that definitely gets people talking when they look at your setup. It comes with connection cables, but I was a little bummed that while the unit has a USB-C port, the cable that comes with is USB-C to USB-A. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but a small annoyance. The capture card itself works great. The latency is really low, so it feels ultra responsive. You won't get 4K at 120 refresh, but I don't think you're missing much from your capturing ability to get that. Plus if that's a trade off with latency, I'll take this latency level! Overall, it's a cool looking capture card with RGB lights and low latency, that's a win!

This is a really versatile tool with many applications Solves many video incompatibility issues by converting almost any HDMI stream and sending it both to a monitor AND a recording device such as a computer hard drive. A capture card that I can use between devices to capture video that normally wouldn't be able to Perfect for video gaming, data collaboration and other type streaming The device is easy to set up and pretty much plug and play I like that the data can be sourced from a wide variety of devices DVD's I was able to transfer my wedding DVD on to my computer using this device Image quality is excellent and transfer speeds are also very good

This video capture box worked well as a web cam video capture input for use with Zoom, Webex, Teams, FaceTime, and other web conferencing software. It just appears like a regular USB / UVC webcam without any special software drivers. The nice thing about it is that it supports 4K / UHD capture resolution. Although most web conferencing software doesn’t support 4K yet, it’s nice to have the option to record and capture to software like QuickTime in a higher resolution when using an external camera like the Sony ZV-1 that supports 4K output. This capture box was working solidly until one day when I started losing video signal. The box would produce a still image that says No Video instead of showing the live video from the camera that was connected to it. I verified that the camera was still working, but the box somehow gave up and couldn’t read the HDMI signal anymore from the camera. I tried unplugging and replugging everything back, which would restore it briefly but then it wouldn’t work reliably and would show the No Video still image. I finally gave up and switched back to my old HDMI capture device, a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro which worked fine with the same Mac computer. I’m only rating this 3 stars because it seemed to stop working reliably after a couple months of use.

It’s been about 3 months since I got this capture card, and it has been great. It was easy to set up without any hassle and delivered good-quality video capture. However, I only used it casually, so I had my brother test it as well. He is a professional gamer who streams his plays as well as various content, so a good quality capture card is a must for his work. He tried this one when he came over to record his gameplay and stream some live content. So far, I haven’t seen any noticeable lag or delays; it has worked great with both my Windows and his MacOS. He mentioned that it comes with additional customization options, like advanced settings to fit specific needs (which I probably won’t need, haha). I think the coupon offered at the time of this review is a good deal in terms of overall performance versus price.
