These weights were a lot better than I thought they were, the build quality is great, it is a rubber material, or at least a rubber coated metal, color was the color that we wanted so the color matches everything that we were looking for. I bought the 300lbs set it is better than I hoped. The weights do have a rubber smell but its expected. I would buy this set over any of the more expensive just for the price. It was easy to assemble.
