  • Fantastic!
Size: 10-Pound
These ankle weights are an incredible find for the price. I just broke one of the buckles on my other pair which is also 10 lbs and needed a replacement but most of them are at least triple the price. The material feels a little cheap and they feel lighter than my other pair. I have not weighed them to compare, but I didn’t feel the burn with these after my exercises that I normally feel. The weighted bags are in open pockets, this makes it really easy to adjust the weight, but also means they can slip out when doing floor exercises. The strap is big and really comfortable, I typically wear long socks and did not feel any discomfort, even when moving around. They stayed on my feet through 30 minutes of leg/glute exercises and 20 minutes of walking. I tested with jumping jacks and they stayed in place, the strap stayed on, and they did not hurt my legs. ... show more

  • Perfect amount of weight
Size: 20-Pounds
Great quality. 10lbs each leg is plenty to get a good workout. I had to put small duct tape tabs at the ends of the straps to make it easier to undo straps. I would definitely recommend these weights.

  • Good for price, questionable long term
Size: 10-Pound
Good for the price but I’m not sure how well it will hold up long term. The weight bags feel like they are filled with sand and don’t seem like they will resist puncturing for the long term. Fit is a little big for me but will work for my purpose.

  • Great weights and super strong Velcro!
Size: 20-Pounds
I was looking for two, 10 lb weights that are adjustable and everything I found was at least $50! Come on, it's just bags of sand! If you kept scrolling until you found these, don't hesitate to buy them! These were $20 when I got them and I couldn't be happier! I can remove/add 2.5 lbs at a time (so one ankle weight can be anywhere from 2.5 to 10 lbs), and the Velcro feels like it could stop a train! Unless you absolutely need a color other than black, you can't go wrong with these. ... show more

  • Loading the weights into the vest is difficult and time consuming.
Size: 20-Pounds
So far I would say its mid. It looks cheap because it is. I would have easily given an extra star if I didnt have to load the weights into the vest myself. That was a pain. Other than what was mentioned, it serves its purpose. I hope its lasts long than it looks like it will.

  • Simple, large, effective.
Size: 20-Pounds
Reviews for this class of weight can be silly, including categories such as "most stylish". This product is not. It also includes far more weight than anything else I could find. The product is simple. Two holders, each with one large zipper that closes up five pouches, and two long velcro closures. Each pouch has a two pound plastic bag of sand which can be individually removed for any combination desired of weights distributed around the holder. Using the zipper is only required when changing the weight. Normal use does not require opening it. The holder is robust and completely surrounds the sandbags, which appear fragile and need to be handled carefully when not in the holder. Inside with the zipper closed, they seem to be in no danger at all. Donning and doffing is simple. Wrap the product around your ankle above your boot, thread the velcro through the buckle and secure. The velcro is plenty long enough to accommodate from zero to all five sandbags included. Doffing can take some work to peel off the velcro, which is extremely strong. Everything is black so finding the end of the velcro strap takes a moment. I am 77" tall and the product fits around my ankles with plenty of room to spare. I currently use only two pouches per leg so there is considerable free velcro length. I do not anticipate any issues with all five installed. With considerably smaller individuals, the product will wrap around more and the velcro goes all the way around so there should be no issues. I wear knee high socks and have no issues with comfort. The product has no sharp edges or exposed velcro on the inside but I would not recommend use on bare skin. Full height hiking boots work great, I do not know how trail running or other low shoes would handle something of this size and weight. Four pounds per leg makes a very substantial difference in effort in my morning walks. Getting to the full ten will be very marked and provide great benefit. Recommended. ... show more

  • literally can't even strap them on
Size: 20-Pounds
So, I'm overweight. I'm not unbelievably impossibly overweight, my legs are big but not nearly so big as to have trouble strapping weights on. I've had ankle weights before that were fine, I just misplaced them while moving to my new house, so I decided to buy a new pair. These came today and I was super excited to go for a short hike with these and my new 30lb weighted vest - so far, thanks to getting back into exercising, I've lost about 50 lbs, so I thought putting on the extra weight might be a good reminder and a good challenge, I remember my old pair of ankle weights pretty fondly. But I took these out of the box, laid em on a chair, put my ankle up on it, and the weight barely covers half my ankle. Huh. Well I'll just strap it shut and spin it so the weight's on the front of my foot, it'll still be okay, no wait the straps literally don't even reach the loops they need to go through. As in, the design requires the straps on one end of the weights to loop through two rings on the other end of the weights, double back on themselves, and attach to the velcro there. But the ends of the weight are like 4-5 inches from touching one another and the straps are about 8 inches too short to reach through their little loops and securely attach. Not only that, the straps aren't even one solid piece of velcro - each strap is two pieces of velcro that are crudely sewed together and roughly cut to shape without even reinforcing the edges with simple stitching. These things are garbage, basically - my girlfriend is a little petite woman with thin dainty legs and these still barely fit her. The only thing I can imagine using these for is putting on a child to keep them from running around, and then you run the risk of accidentally turning them into a Dragonball Z superhero by letting them train with weighted clothing. Miss these, definitely do not buy if you are a male with average to slightly above average ankle thickness. ... show more
