I ordered the blowfish Venice boot 2 in my regular size, 8.5 and color tan. I was extremely disappointed to find that these boots are huge. I think I could size down a size and a half in order for them to fit. I always hate the hassle of returning items so I researched inserts. I could use in order to make these boots work. I would end up spending upwards of $50 so I guess returning is the better option. That being said, they are nice boots. The outside is very smooth and the brown color I ordered is a beautiful caramel. I have attempted to walk in them several times and they do feel very comfortable. The inside is very soft and slightly padded. The heel is not very tall so it is tall enough to be stylish, but not enough to hinder comfort. The boots are very versatile. I can see how they would look cute with one of my casual knee length dresses, as well as with a pair of jeans. In my opinion, they are very casual, but would still look good with short and long dresses. Overall, I think these are great boots, but I highly suggest sizing down. ... show more

I'll start by saying these are the best fitting, most comfortable Blowfish boot/show I've ever gotten. They are usually too narrow and tight in the toe when I order my normal size. This time, I ordered my normal size and they fit true to size. Not too narrow or tight. The sides of the heel rub slightly just below my ankle but I did have a thinner than normal sock on. The inside has a very nice, soft, fleecy type lining and the inner sole is soft and cushioned. The outer sole is solid and sturdy. Again, much much better than what I normally order from Blowfish, which is primarily fashion sneakers. The outer material does have a very faux appearance. Sometimes faux leather is done quite well, but these fall short in that shiny, vinyl-y look. The style is nice though, so maybe with a little wear they'll look a bit more natural. I ordered black and they sent me the wine color. It's a very dark wine color but obviously not black. They aren't overly red either though. I do think they are a bit overpriced. ... show more

I own about six pairs of shoes from Blowfish, so I was already a huge fan but these Venice 2 boots took my excitement to a whole new level. I’ve been wanting Doc Martens for ages, but they’re just too pricey for me. When I saw Blowfish had this style, I was so freaking excited, and they did not disappoint. These boots are amazing. They have that cool, slightly steampunk vibe, but they’re still adorable enough to wear with all my whimsical skirts and dresses. The style is bold without being too heavy, and they instantly make any outfit feel more fun and expressive. Inside, they’re shockingly comfortable, soft, cushioned, and easy to wear all day, but they still have that sturdy, good leather heavy feeling that makes a boot feel high‑quality. They’re the perfect mix of comfort and edge, and they fit beautifully right out of the box. If you love Blowfish or you want a Doc‑style boot without the Doc‑style price, these are an absolute win. I love the blowfish brand! I had several pairs of their sneakers over the years. So I was thrilled that they offered these boots through the vine program. I'm a size 7.5 and I found they fit true to size with just a enough room for socks. The quality and durablity are on par with other shoes I have had from the blowfish brand that I bought in store. I expect these will hold up for years as have my other shoes. They're an extremely comfy fit due in part to the soft seude material. The side zipper makes these an easy slip on and off. The sole of the boot in particular is incredibly thick. The bottom of it has a lot of ridges for grip. The style is neutral enough for any fall outfit.
