I couldn't find reviews for this set of dumbbells online anywhere prior to purchasing, but I took a chance on them because I like the CAP brand, they look quite nice, and the price is very good for this amount of weight. I'm happy to say that I'm glad I took a chance on these instead of some no-name brand! Pros: - The weight selections are sequential from low to high. Some of the no-name brands I was considering had seemingly random weight orders (i.e if you want to go up 5 lbs, rotate 1 clockwise, but for 10 lbs, rotate 2 counterclockwise... which would be confusing and annoying). - The handles, when the dumbbells are docked in their holder, rotate easily but feel solid and click into place for each weight increment. When not docked, there is minimal play and they remain locked into place quite securely. I never feel like I'm holding anything but a normal dumbbell. - Regardless of how many plates you have loaded onto the handles, the dumbbells line up and slide into their base with ease. I haven't had any failed attempts where I had to lift back up and try again. Just good engineering all around. - The handles are smooth while having a nice texture, paradoxically giving a pretty good grip while not tearing up your palms (though I wear gloves for higher weights just because). Cons: - Not really the product's fault, but all adjustable dumbbells tend to be a bit wider than standard dumbbells. I haven't found this to be a huge problem, I just take care not to let them hit each other side-on for fear of breaking them. Other: - I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but I will be sure to update the review if there are any problems.

Good price, very good quality. I thought they would be wider, but they are smaller and easier to handle than I thought they would be. Very happy and would definitely recommend. Don't buy a bunch of separate ones, it's a waste of money.

Easy to use, All weights in one spot doesn't take a lot of space like you have many different Barbells, so comfortable. And this is cheaper than if you buy all these weights individually.

LOVE THEM I have some others and I got tired of them not working like they were supposed to so i got these and I love them! Easy to use and makes for a quick change for different sets. Made well and sturdy.

Been looking to get a set of weights since the pandemic for working out at home. I work at a college and have unlimited access to a gym anytime I want, but I got tired of going there just to do some light upper body. So I bought a bench and these weights. I've used them twice since I got them and they are fantastic. I don't body build no more, but I like to keep my upper body in check. These are perfect and I'm 120# and 55 lbs is really all I need. If I need heavier, I'll just go to work and lift. While I got plenty of room in my house, I just don't need/want a whole weight rack for working out a few times a week. I like how they easily slide back in and in two seconds of twisting the handle I get the exact weight I want. In fact, I think it's easier than messing with individual dumbbells to get out of order (OCD!) on a rack. For folks that pay to use gyms, you buy a decent bench and these dumbbells and you can get a quality workout without it taking up an entire room. I bought a nice commercial treadmill back in 2016 and its got thousands of miles on it and I don't know why I didn't buy these back then. Like my treadmill, I know my money will be a return on investment in a year or two just with use. I also like the copper handles on these weights. Just stick with a decent workout routine and you'll be fit for life. Folks ask me how I stay so good looking and I tell folks all you need is 30 minutes a day of personal time doing something athletic (combining a little bit of cardio and light lifting) and you'll be ahead of the game as you get older. One thing to focus on is to use lighter weights is to go slow to get that "burn". Believe it or not lifting lighter, but going slow can make you lift double the weight later on without burning yourself out. Just something I learned over my decade of lifting heavy. Great weights and CAP is my go-to dumbbell and weight company. Quality stuff here!

First day owning these. Satisfied with the appearance, but most importantly the function. Safety. The handles and components that allow it to work seem robust enough. It's plastic but definitely not the cheap kind. I was concerned about reviews saying the 5-25 handles would drop plates. I have yet to experience anything like that with these 10-55 handles. Save money, check. A set of 10-55lbs fixed cast iron dumbbells will run you approximately $650 on fbm at $1/lbs. Change weights quickly between sets, check. It's not a solid solid click, but it's a solid click. Extremely satisfied with this. They're just a bit finicky when aligning the handle back on the tray. Wether there's some weight in the tray or not. I think I'll dedicate two different areas for them. One for changing weight and the other for setting down between sets. This is where I think it's lacking. Size is manageable. There will be some exercises where you will need to adapt to the length of the handles. Durability. Survived first, day so far so good. I'll update if and when they fail me.
