*** 3 Month Update - Minor scuffs from use, they go back to looking like new with a quick wipe. Nothing has broken and am comfortable with the way the weights are held by the mechanism for both Dummbell Rows and Overhead Presses. I haven't dropped them or put my body weight on them (Pushups/ManMakers). You want to slide the handle in from the side a bit for a smoother insert. Overall I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I'm convinced these are the new standard to beat when it comes to this weight range and price.*** Safety. The handles and components that allow it to work seem robust enough. It's plastic but definitely not the cheap kind. I was concerned about reviews saying the 5-25 handles would drop plates. I have yet to experience anything like that with these 10-55 handles. Save money, check. A set of 10-55lbs fixed cast iron dumbbells will run you approximately $650 on fbm at $1/lbs. Change weights quickly between sets, check. It's not a solid solid click, but it's a solid click. Extremely satisfied with this. They're just a bit finicky when aligning the handle back on the tray. Wether there's some weight in the tray or not. I think I'll dedicate two different areas for them. One for changing weight and the other for setting down between sets. This is where I think it's lacking. Size is manageable. There will be some exercises where you will need to adapt to the length of the handles. Durability. Survived first, day so far so good. I'll update if and when they fail me. *** 3 months of use and still going strong***

The media could not be loaded. Cap Dumbbells are easy to adjust and very functional. Have a great range of weights and are well balanced. It's small footprint is great and safer than having free weights on a rack my child could try to lift and drop. The value is really good when you consider the quality of the equipment and compare it to other name brands. The copper grip is a great accent and feels comfortable in your hand.

February 11, 2025 Review: Product name, verified reviews, and Rufus AI indicates that the product will come in a PAIR: two dumbbells. IT. DID. NOT. COME. IN. A. PAIR.!!! The product is called "CAP Barbell ADJUSTABELL Adjustable 55 lbs Hex Dumbbell Weights - *PAIR*" but all I got was a single dumbbell. Rufus AI said there would be 2 dumbbells, reviews would use "those" and "they" indicating that they received 2 dumbbells, and again, the listed items name and invoice I received called the product a "P.A.I.R." of dumbbells. The CAP customer support provided NO HELP, stating they don't ship to my address. But this item I bought from their amazon shop has SHIPPED to me and IS IN FRONT OF ME!!! The amazon listing is MISLEADING and is NOT what is advertised! I bought a pair but I'm still trying to find out "a pair of what?" because I'm not seeing a pair of anything.

I’m not gonna lie I was a little skeptical when I first saw these. They are substantially cheaper than the other dumbbells I was looking at from more proven brands and there weren’t many reviews on them but in the interest of saving money I went for them. The handles feel good and the adjustment is super easy just twist the handle. There’s a solid click when you adjust the weight and they feel solid in the hand. There’s not a lot of movement in the actual dumbbell while lifting which I expected there to be honestly. The only slight complaint I have is some times when I’m picking up the dumbbells one of the weight plates will fall over in the tray. After about a month of using them 5 times a week I’d definitely say they’re worth is especially for someone on a budget.

Been looking to get a set of weights since the pandemic for working out at home. I work at a college and have unlimited access to a gym anytime I want, but I got tired of going there just to do some light upper body. So I bought a bench and these weights. I've used them twice since I got them and they are fantastic. I don't body build no more, but I like to keep my upper body in check. These are perfect and I'm 120# and 55 lbs is really all I need. If I need heavier, I'll just go to work and lift. While I got plenty of room in my house, I just don't need/want a whole weight rack for working out a few times a week. I like how they easily slide back in and in two seconds of twisting the handle I get the exact weight I want. In fact, I think it's easier than messing with individual dumbbells to get out of order (OCD!) on a rack. For folks that pay to use gyms, you buy a decent bench and these dumbbells and you can get a quality workout without it taking up an entire room. I bought a nice commercial treadmill back in 2016 and its got thousands of miles on it and I don't know why I didn't buy these back then. Like my treadmill, I know my money will be a return on investment in a year or two just with use. I also like the copper handles on these weights. Just stick with a decent workout routine and you'll be fit for life. Folks ask me how I stay so good looking and I tell folks all you need is 30 minutes a day of personal time doing something athletic (combining a little bit of cardio and light lifting) and you'll be ahead of the game as you get older. One thing to focus on is to use lighter weights is to go slow to get that "burn". Believe it or not lifting lighter, but going slow can make you lift double the weight later on without burning yourself out. Just something I learned over my decade of lifting heavy. Great weights and CAP is my go-to dumbbell and weight company. Quality stuff here!
