    • I LOVE this Ab Trainer!
I LOVE THIS Ab Trainer! I can do crunches and never hurt my back! I seen a review that a chiropractor did and thought I would give it a try and I am so glad that I did! I wish that the head piece had a better type of fabric but I can deal with the one that is on it. THANK YOU!

    • Just got it, but gave me sore abs already. So it WORKS!!!!
Review Image by JKL
Really not a bad exercise equipment for less than $50. The instructions were pretty simple and finished assembly in less than an hour. I like how it gave me alternate exercises that I could use it for. All tools were provided for, too, which proved quite convenient bcus I didn't have to go looking for my toolset. You really needed only a screwdriver and an allen wrench. Interestingly enough, the screwdriver and allen wrench were both attached together back-to-back. Once again, very convenient. I'd also recommend adding or buying an Amazon yoga mat with this ab trainer purchase. I have included a photo of my completed ab workout station. To make the headrest, maybe, last a bit longer I wrapped it in plastic. I'd totally buy this item again and would give it a 5, but not sure of its durability. ... show more

    • Instructions are Confusing!
Right out of the box, the instructions were my first problem. I have bought and assembled two ab rollers in the past with no trouble at all. I probably wouldn't have had any trouble with this one, either, except that I read the instructions which confused the heck out of me. I had to put it aside and come back a few hours later, after wiping my mind clean, LOL. It was frustrating, to say the least. I'm not impressed with the piece of equipment, but I guess I shouldn't have expected much from a piece that cost under $25. Caveat Emptor! When will I ever learn? ... show more

    • Ab Roller
Review Image by Crystalwolflady
I had a beautiful purple one of these years ago, when I moved it got lost :(. So I recently decided to get another when this book "Women's Strength Training Anatomy Workouts" on page 171 says this type of Ab roller is "well designed and can replace machines". So I ordered a new one. Not as nice as my purple, but after put together, very nice. The instructions are pictures. So make sure you are in the right frame of mind. to deal. :P It took about 45 mins to put together, laying out all the pieces to figure out how they fit together. One Philips screwdriver is included 3 screws & 4 screw lock thingy's. The good thing about this crunch machine you can disassemble if you have to move, so that is nice. The crunch, It's a concentrated movement very short, almost isometric. The above pic is from pg 91 "Women's strength training Anatomy" by Frederic Delavier. Both books on Amazon & the ab roller too! Rec all of them!! All the Training books of Frederic Delavier, he has yoga stretch & Men's weight training too. Best Weight training books now a days, b/c JoeWeider is gone. He also mentions in one of the books doing ab work at night can help relax the back muscles so you can sleep if your back is bothering you. I don't know if that works but I'm going to try. Pic I scanned above has better instructions than what comes with the ab roller. (Use wise) So y'all can copy & print that page or buy the whole book which I do recommend. I am happy with the ab roller. ... show more

    • Ugh. Waste of Money.
Please understand that while this contraption may have worked for some people it DEFINITELY did not work for me. If you live in a small home with limited closet space, you might want to consider something else. It is not compact and it doesn't consolidate in any way. The assembly is easy...only took about 25 minutes. But, the workout I received from it was mediocre at best. The irony of it all is that the "headrest" is supposed to relieve strain in the neck. For me I found the total opposite was happening. I found myself getting neck strain and pressure. I really wanted to give this ab roller a chance! I really did! But it truly is a waste of money for me. I did 300 reps per day for several days and found that NO muscles were being challenged. You can usually tell the next day because your abs and other muscles feel as though they have been worked. Not the case with this item....for ME. What DOES WORK? Pilates floor exercises specifically designed for strengthening core muscles. Try Ana Caban's abdominal DVD.http://www.amazon.com/Abs-Pilates-Workout-Ana-Caban/dp/B00029QOTU/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1341771707&sr=1-1&keywords=ana+caban+pilates+abs+workout I ordered this DVD with the ab roller and WOW what a difference!!It takes up NO SPACE, isn't a total waste of money and is significantly cheaper than the ab roller. If you're really serious about strengthening and toning your abs, please do not waste your time with this gimmick. Just my opinion. Hope it helped. ... show more

    • Works great as long as you use it!
Bought this for my husband per his request. I thought it would be a waste of money as I didn't believe he would see results and would give up. I couldn't have been more wrong, and I'm happy he purchased in spite of my misgivings. He has used it every morning for over a year and has definitely gotten desired results. His stomach has flattened and is more defined. It has lasted with daily use for this long and I don't see any wear and tear. Definitely recommend, if you use it, it will work! ... show more
