Love this product! I have only used it once so far, but I FINALLY achieved day 3 curls. I haven't been able to wear my hair down more than one day in a row, maybe two days very rarely, for more than 10 years since my last holy grail changed their formula. I have 2c, 3b curls and I achieved this look using this product (Cantu complete conditioning co-wash), Cantu leave in conditioning cream, Cantu moisturizing curl activator cream, and Cantu define and shine custard. This pic was taken on day 3 with no touch ups AT ALL. I'm shocked. I have been using the leave in and styling products for awhile and really liked them, so I tried the co-wash, and my hair came out perfect! I have very curly but fine, thin hair so it's been hard to find something moisturizing enough, but not too heavy. In case someone with similar hair wants my routine: I washed with the co-wash right before getting out of the shower. I don't towel dry my hair, I just put a t-shirt on my head while I get dressed and that pulls enough moisture that my hair isn't dripping. Then I comb my hair while it's still wet, and part down the middle. Then I put about a dime sized amount of curl activator in my palm and mix it with about a nickel sized amount of the leave in and apply to half my hair. Repeat for the other side and push all my hair back over my shoulders and give a quick once over all my curls. Then I flip my hair upside down and apply the define and shine custard by scrunching it in. Once that's done, if I have time, I blow dry (upside down) just 15 minutes staying around the crown of my head to avoid too much heat damage. Otherwise I just let it air dry and try not to touch it. And Bam! Beautiful hair. I can't believe these products are so affordable they work so well, and they are curly friendly. I have probably tried at least one new thing a week for over ten years and finally found something that works. Thank you to Cantu! ;) ... show more

I used per the instructions. It doesn't feel as though it washes clean. It feels like it just coats whatever products I already had in my hair and is difficult to rinse fully from the scalp. I wanted to like this more but I hate to say is a glorified conditioner.

I’m always surprised how well this works, especially for how inexpensive it is. I have long wavy curly hair and generally my scalp is dry, but my roots get oily after day three. It gets my hair and scalp clean and super moisturized, and it smells awesome. It doesn’t go a super long way for me because I have so much hair, so that’s the one drawback. Cost wise, not a big deal, but I hate the idea of buying another single use plastic bottle just to throw it away every 5 or 6 weeks. ... show more

Got this from a blog recommendation and was not disappointed. For the price, this is a great option for Co-washing. I have very fine/thin hair that is curly when it comes out of my scalp for about five inches before it is too damaged from existence and begins to straighten/break off. Thus my hair is chin length and I try to be as gentle with it as possible: minimal heat, minimal shampooing, lots of moisture. I like the coco butter scent and the heavy/creamy texture. Even with my thin hair, I do find myself using a good full "tablespoon" worth of product, but the price makes that possible. Rinse well and this product will move the "greasy" scalp oil without stripping it and leave your hair light enough to curl/style without much effort. Worth it. ... show more
