Other than being a bit pricey, this shampoo is the best I have found for my 8 year old’s wavy hair. We use the entire kids line and are happy with it all.

    • Works better for thick, dehydrated hair
I'm not a kid, but as someone with a big head of wavy hair, I was pretty excited to try this product for hydration purposes. My hair is fine-medium texture. Cantu doesn't lather much, which is usually a sign that the chemicals have been kept to a minimum. While I love that, at the same token, it just wasn't enough to get my scalp squeaky-clean (which is probably perfect for kid-intended use as that means it is quite gentle) The caveat was that the ends of my hair got perfect hydration, but the root and scalp were left a bit greasy. I would use this again, but perhaps in place of a lightweight conditioner. ... show more

This Cantu shampoo is the best one I have found for my little princess, who has fine curly Hair, prone to tangles. I have tried at least 6-7 brands for her but Cantu has stopped me from searching for more. This is my 2nd bottle. In fact, my 8yr old son's hair are straight and I use same Cantu shampoo for him too and still highly satisfied. Hair don't feel dry or lifeless. It leaves them well moisturized and soft and smooth. It's not expensive, so try once and I am sure you will be happy with the results 👍 ... show more

    • Redesign creates a mess but good product
Have used this for a long time. They have redesigned and it’s a mess. the new white bottle caps are terrible and they leak. When you try to dispense shampoo some squirts out the back of the cap which is very messy and wasteful. This never happened with the previous orange cap design.

We haven't used it yet but I wanted to clear up some misinformation for people who are looking for Curly-girl approved products. The photo of the bottle says No sulfates, silicones and parabens, but the ingredients list on the website includes sulfates.     • Great product. Poor packaging of sent product.
The product itself is great. How it was packaged was horrible. When I opened the package the whole inside of it was wet and sticky. The lid on the shampoo wasn't sealed. I lost quite a bit of product.
