At approx. 0.4 lb., this lens is a lightweight choice for all-day vlogging, long hikes and more. A bright f/2.8 max. aperture delivers incredible image quality and less noise, even in low light. A 5.11” min. focusing distance helps bring in subjects while keeping the background more visible. A stepping motor (gear-type STM) provides smooth and quiet continuous AF during video recording. The focus/control ring lets you directly adjust shutter speed, aperture, exposure and more settings. A 7-blade circular aperture helps create beautiful, soft background blur to make subjects stand out. One end has an elastic band which attaches securely around the lens barrel, and the other end fastens to the lens cap via the adhesive-backed disc. 43mm cap featuring a center pinch design along with the Canon logo on the front. When in place, this cap guards against dust, moisture, and scratches. The Lens Dust Cap RF protects the lens's rear element from dust and scratches when it is not attached to a camera.
