Outstanding camera. Great in low light. I was able to shoot at 400 ISO with my 45mm f/1.2 STM as fast as 1/250 shutter under tungsten light. Very fast stick on auto focus. Not extremely fast like the R5 Mark II but fast enough to catch birds in flight. Easy to understand and navigate menu. Build quality is solid. Acquire and track subjects much faster than the original R5. It's close enough to the R5 Mark II for $1,100 less. If they can fix the over heating issue, this would be a perfect camera. ... show more

The first Cannon system that I had was the 5D Mark ii, then the 1DX mark ii, and now I’ve upgraded to the R6 Mark iii. I have a background in street and military photography. All the lenses that I own are EF lenses. I still need to buy an RF lens. I am very impressed with this camera. I absolutely love the image quality that comes out of this system. The video capabilities are very impressive and I still have yet to explore deeper into it. Right now, I am just a dad mainly taking pictures of his kids and the occasional photo shoot side hustle now. This camera is more than capable of taking care of all the needs. The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is an absolute powerhouse and easily earns a 5-star rating. From the moment I started shooting with it, the image quality stood out. The files are incredibly clean with excellent dynamic range, and the colors come out looking natural and vibrant straight out of camera. Low-light performance is where this camera really shines. I’ve been able to shoot in challenging lighting conditions with minimal noise, and the autofocus still locks on quickly and accurately.     • Very disappointing

Really, really disappointed. As soon as I got the camera, I wasn't able to put it into Autofocus. In fact, when I went into the settings, the "Focus Mode" in the magenta settings page didn't exist. I got an F00 error code on my aperture and was stuck in Manual Mode. I went to Precision Camera, here in Austin Tx, hoping they could solve the problem... long story short, they could not. We looked up YouTube videos, I scoured the internet and forums to find something, we tried all kinds of different lenses only to come up with the same problem again and again. After almost an hour at the store, and failed attempts, I came to the conclusion that I got a defective camera. I am so incredibly bummed and disappointed. With a sad heart, I will have to return this camera. I will be purchasing the R6M3 at a physical store next time, after I get my money back. ... show more
