  • Great for Beginners
Style: with RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3
If you are thinking about moving up from an R100, I would recommend it. I originally purchased the R100 and returned it for this. It has a ton of more features, and the R50V's video capabilities are even more powerful than the regular R50 with 4K 60fps cropped or 30fps uncropped. You don't get a viewfinder, but the touch screen is versatile and I haven't had a problem using outdoors. Battery life is solid, also if using as webcam it stays powered thru USB-C. Very easy to switch camera modes in the menu even though there's only one image mode on the dial. The V body is more sleek, so putting a pancake lens on would make it very easy to travel with. You won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Great camera for the price !
Style: Body Only
This has been a fantastic starter camera. I love how I can download the pictures to the cannon app right to my phone and edit color in the app.

  • Need a budget camera? THIS IS IT
Style: Body Only
Honestly, for the price, this camera can't be beat... Combine this with the SIGMA 18-50mm F2.8 RF mount lens and it's a great combo for vlogging, recording, and even filming cinematic shots. The CLOG/CGamut color profiles do great in edit to save highlights when filming, and the auto-focus eye/face tracking hasn't lost tracking yet. I wasn't sure if this camera or another one for our purposes (like a Panasonic Lumix, or Sony)... but this has been GREAT. If you're saying to yourself "I need the best budget camera and lens combo that will level up my quality" then this is the camera you need. I only say that with the pairing of the specific lens I use. I also have an ND Filter for it, and a super fast SD Card... While the stabilization isn't great, that's really a minute point and shouldn't deter you from getting this.. find a way to keep it steady HA! It also takes great photos... I added those to the review. Fairly easy to use if you take the time to learn the menu. And the size for vlogging with the vertical mount option is great. Unless your wanting to spend over $1000 just for a camera body, get this camera/lens combo. ... show more

  • Got 2 good cameras, 1 defective
Style: with RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3
Good camera. Sharp video, decent in low light, easy setup. But I ordered 3 and 1 didn't work. I'm in the process of returning the defective item I had to order another 1 from another seller just because I need it for a shoot this weekend. I would've just exchanged for a new one but it wouldn't have been delivered in time. Other than that it was a good purchase, I doubt they arrive defective very often. ... show more

  • This camera is for people who want to record 4k video and are less interested in capturing photos.
Style: Body Only
I'm very happy with this product. This camera is for people who want to record 4k video and are less interested in capturing photos. If taking photographs is your thing, this camera is not for you. If taking videos is your thing (and that was the case for me) this camera is perfect for you. Great quality for the price. ... show more

  • Not a typical SLR - and that's a good thing.
Style: with RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3
I really like this camera but I also have mixed feelings about it. For experienced photographers who are used to typical SLR-style cameras, this will take a bit of getting used to. It's small, like a point-and-shoot model, but it has all the functionality of a modern digital camera. Because the camera is small, you don't really hold it the same way as you would an SLR. It's light and comfortable with smaller lenses, but a bit awkward if you mount a larger lens, especially hand-held. However, when you put it on a tripod, it works great, especially with the large, flexible touchscreen. I especially like the ability to control the camera with an app on my phone, but it makes me want to be able to control the tripod that way too! ... show more

  • Do better.
Style: with RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3
Really, nothing special as a camera. The plastic body is low-quality, but I guess that is why it is so lightweight. At best, it's a solid webcam, but I'd say the lack of manual user options is probably why I would rate it so low. Ui on the camera is buggy and laggy, lots of issues, save your coins
