EOS R50 V has Power over USB great for time lapses, its part of the Canon echo system takes full frame RF lenses or RFS-apsc lenses buy full frame lenses now, A digital hotshoe works with the Canon Stereo Microphone DME1D, the R50v has internal timecode, Flat video profile (CLOG) and cuts 1080p like butter takes, 6k photos does RAW however video is upscaled from the 6K sensor to 4K and 4K crops at 60fps all other record modes dont crop, this LOOKS Amazon Direct ready https://videodirect.amazon.com/home/help?topicId=G202129880 I'm going to try that, Takes an SD card were the battery goes no CFexpress type B so you dont get PROres or MOV files just MP4, only weighs 3/4lbs ... show more

I started vlogging and quickly realized i needed something a lot better than what I had, but couldn't justify spending 1k+. This has fit my needs pretty much perfectly. Thr quality compared to using my phone is fantastic. I like thay once i figure this out more and get a little more experience, that Ill be able to swap out the lens. The picture taking interface is very wonky, but I didn't buy this to take pics. The only complaint is the cropping in 4K mode is ridiculous. It doesn't make it unusable, but its pretty close.... hence the loss of a star. Overall, very happy with this; I may update this as I learn more. ... show more

Has lots of features for video. It is a crop frame, but it serves my video needs. I have a full-frame camera for photography. This is lightweight, very versatile, and portable. There is no IBIS, but it does have digital stabilization. The DS makes the images a bit more fluid, but not as good as a stabilizer. I have a 3-axis gimbal, so the lack of stabilization is not a big issue for me. Overall, its a great addition for content creators videos. ... show more

My initial reaction is quite favorable. Love the ability to zoom with a switch or a remote control. It will take a while to get familiar with all of the new video features, of course. Hopefully Canon will come out with a future EOS V camera with more bells and whistles, but they did all they could to keep the cost of this one down, and I think they did a good job. Hopefully also Canon will come out with some more PZ lenses. I think they did a fine job on this as an initial EOS V / PZ combo offering. ... show more

This is a very complex video/photo camera. You can use it in very simple modes or you can set it up for very complex shooting modes. The only downfall I see right now is you can not attach a bluetooth wireless mic and use the internal bluetooth as the transmitter end
