  • Good for beginners
Style: EOS R50 w/RF-S18-45mm Color: Black
This camera is perfect for beginners! The controls are straightforward and intuitive, so I didn’t feel overwhelmed trying to figure it out. The auto modes work really well, and I was able to start taking great photos right away. There are also lots of YouTube videos on how to best use this camera for beginners. ... show more

  • Amazing Camera!!!
Style: EOS R50 w/RF-S18-45mm Color: Black
I absolutely love this camera. The quality is amazing when shooting in manual and it has great color accuracy. The battery lasts a really long time which is great too. I don't have to charge the battery very often. The base is smaller than a DSLR camera but that just makes it easier to bring around everywhere. I've taken a lot of cool photos with it so far! I would highly recommend this camera, but if you want a better zoom, the base kit lens only goes up to 45mm so you'd have to purchase another lens. ... show more

  • A perfect camera to start vlogging and beyond
Style: EOS R50 w/RF-S18-45mm Color: Black
I bought the Canon EOS R50 as my first mirrorless camera for vlogging and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The image quality is excellent thanks to its 24.2 megapixels, and the 4K video is sharp and smooth—perfect for creating high-quality content without complications. The autofocus is very fast and accurate, even while moving, and the subject detection and tracking feature has been amazing when filming on the go or with more people in the frame. The included lens (RF-S 18-45mm) is very versatile for everyday use and ideal to get started without needing to invest in another lens right away. Plus, it’s a lightweight and compact camera, making it super easy to carry anywhere. The smartphone connection is very useful for quickly transferring photos and videos, and also for remotely controlling the camera. In short, if you’re looking for an easy-to-use, powerful camera designed for content creators, this is a great choice. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • A hopefully sound review of an amazing camera
Style: EOS R50 Body Only Color: Black
Amazing quality, extremely lightweight, it's the perfect size for on the go use, and overall manages to exceed any possible worries when buying a camera. If you want a good camera and don't want to spend thousands on just the body, this camera is for you. I'm a fan of film, and I'd bought a different camera only to realize that it wasn't what I needed and then sprung for this one. I now have two separate lenses that accomplish the same goal at different distances, and this camera is absolutely stellar at recording, making it not just ideal, but a necessity for anyone who wants a quality picture. If you want good lens options, go with either the, "Canon RF16mm F2.8 STM Lens" or the "Canon RF35mm F1.8". Both are extremely amazing to pair with this, just make sure to buy a second battery (Canon Battery Pack LP-E17) (Image is a little blurry due to motion, the quality is top tier, you can see every hair on a person's face during photo mode) ... show more

  • This is a great starter camera!
Style: EOS R50 w/RF-S18-45mm + RF-S55-210mm Color: Black
Awesome camera for a newbie like me. I like that you get 2 lenses, as well. These photos were taken after just a few days of experimenting. In full auto mode it takes fantastic pictures. You can also put to manual if you are more advanced. So far I am thrilled with this purchase!

  • An amazing camera for a non-camera person
Style: EOS R50 w/RF-S18-45mm + RF-S55-210mm Color: Black
I have no background in photography other than "I point the lens at the thing at a cool angle and it makes a cool photo". So when it was time to travel internationally and have something more than just my phone camera, I looked to this on some reviews saying it was a good starting point for newbies. Lets be clear up front, this camera is not a top shelf model. If you want a nicer sensor, there are nicer cameras out there. If you want amazing lenses, this starter set is probably not what you want. But if you are like me, you understand a bit about sensors and lenses and their functions but with no practical experience to back it up so you need a starting point, consider starting here. The camera menus and features are all what you would expect. Exposure, color balance, plenty of other tweaks and options I am not qualified to explain. Most of this stuff seems to be standardized and just copy pasted in the camera software across multiple models. This is not a replacement for your phone camera. The sensor in your phone will probably be able to give you similar quality photos as the wide lens of this camera. Your phone will always be faster to whip out and rapidly snap wide shots. If that is all you want, do not get a camera like this for this amount of money, keep using your phone. What you do get out of this camera, is the ability to use lenses. Lenses are everything. The 55-210mm lens in this kit is a great starting point for being able to zoom in and capture detail in your photos. And unlike the digital zoom or even your phone's fancy multi-lens setups which can achieve some aspects of proper zoom, these lenses are serious business and will not sacrifice a pinch of quality. THAT is why you should consider a camera like this, if you want to be able to zoom and focus on a subject or area that your phone camera can't reliably capture in good quality. You will not be sniping your photo subjects with this little 55-210mm lens so do not expect to photograph a bird from 100 feet away. But if you are reasonably close enough to see it with your own eyes in decent detail, then you are close enough that the 55-210mm lens will get you extremely up close. Focus is mostly easy to use, tap the screen, the camera will work out how to try and track on to the thing and it mostly manages to not lose its tracking, though it can be frustrating to keep tracked sometimes. The camera battery lasts surprisingly long, or I have low expectations for camera batteries. It will not last forever and you absolutely can drain the battery if you spend all day snapping photos, but you can expect it to last long enough to get you through a reasonably busy day of photographing on your travels. Do not expect to make it through more than two days of back to back heavy photographing, you will need to swap batteries or recharge. The camera is not overwhelmingly large, it fits comfortably in a medium sized hand. It does not require a huge carrying case. ... show more
