Description

The Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0L USM Lens is a high-performance, L-series telephoto zoom lens combining light weight and compactness with an f/4 maximum aperture. Inner focusing and the ring USM enable quick and quiet autofocusing. Also, a circular polarizing filter can be attached and used without difficulty because the front lens element does not rotate during focusing. The tripod collar (sold separately) is the same one used with the EF 300mm f/4L USM. I saved for a year to but this lens and it's not up to par. Random pics of 'Nothing', increase in f f/stop produces a dime sized hole in the pics. First 100 pics were ok then it went downhill. It was refurbished but not by Canon. Beware.

This is my favorite lens! It is incredibly sharp and the colors are so vibrant. I shoot mostly landscapes & nature and never thought I'd use a telephoto as much as this...the photos it produces are amazing! Lately I've been using it to capture youth sports photos of my daughter and the zoom is a great length. Photos are sharp enough that I can crop into the photos without any loss in detail. I originally bought this for my Canon 5D mkIII back in the day, and now I'm using it with my Canon R6 mkII and it works flawlessly. This is the best entry level L telephoto Canon makes.
