DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!! I ordered this lens when I was practicing photography and as soon as I received it I didn’t like it because it had too much noise. I didn’t know what ISO and Aperture were at that time. I used it once and didn’t like it so I put it in my camera bag and hadn’t touched it again. I had a wedding in March and decided I spent too much on this lens to not use it so I tested it again. This time I posted online seeing if someone else had the same problem again I thought it was user error, and it was then, with the help of other photographers, that I realized the aperture was stuck on a certain setting. When I went to change the aperture the light meter didn’t change so since I received it the lens was like this. I contacted them and they stated it was an autofocus issue which it’s not. It’s the aperture shutter and I have already sent the lens back to them and they refuse to give me a refund or replacement. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! ... show more

This is the lens that I use the most. It's great for close-to-mid-range shots. It takes excellent quality photos and the AF feature works well in most instances, and can be switched to manual when needed easily enough.

I absolutely love this lens!! The 24-70 is great, and it allows me to adjust and get the intimate shots I felt like I was missing with just my prime lenses. It does add some extra weight to the camera which is the downfall, but I love the variety I can provide.

Initially I would have given this 5 stars. I had done A LOT of research of these lenses. I didn't really want to bite off a brand new one as they run around $2000 or better. So after much despair, I decided to try this one. The lens was great as far as the eye could see. It worked as described, which I was happy about. However, about 3-4 days after amazons return period (like 90 days) I was using it just fine at my daughters science fair and the next thing I know... the lens itself is very dark when I look through it and would not change with anything I tried. The camera never left my hand. It was fine one snap and the next snap it was not. I, of course, went to amazon to look at what my options were and I had missed the return by only a few days. I emailed the company and told them about my situation. I DID get a reply email from them that they would look into it but I HAVE HEARD NOTHING SINCE. BOOO! I would have attached some pics of the lens itself but it is in the shop and there is no telling what that will cost me. Not too satisfied at this point. BUYER BEWARE. As long as ive been wanting one of these lenses, i should have saved a little longer to purchase a new one. After one photoshoot, the aperture was not responding with auto focus and had very limited funtions. I recently took it in to a camera repair shop and it will cost an additional $300 to get it fixed up. ... show more
