    • So Much For The Amazon Guarantee…
The Amazon guarantee on this used lens didn’t mean much. The image looked great, but at the expense of the auto focus literally sounding like a toddler clapping its hands. Something definitely wrong. Returned immediately and bought “new”. Zero issues with the new one.

    • Perfect, Except No Lens Hood
If you're an EF shooter, this lens is superb. It has lovely bokeh at wide apertures and its tack sharp in the mid range of apertures. The narrowest of apertures will show some minor signs of diffraction, but that's true for almost every reasonably priced "prosumer" lens. I purchased a "renewed" lens, its condition was advertised as "excellent" and it definitely was in perfect condition. It was well packed and included the original storage sock. I'm not sure why the lens hood was not included, but that was a disappointment. That is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. If you're looking for a fantastic wide zoom for the EF mount, this is it, 5 stars. If you're looking for a great deal on a not-brand-new but perfect condition lens, I would certainly recommend this, but be aware it might not come with the lens hood. ... show more

I hesitated to purchase a refurbished lens. This one would not focus to an acceptable degree. The focal length ring would stick at the 35mm setting.
