Use Canon battery only to avoid incorrect wattage and error messages. Also, avoid batteries other than 1250 mAh as the w/hr of these batteries actually result in lower usage before recharge.

Would I buy the cheaper $19 battery or this $43 original OEM battery for my Canon G7X Mark II? The cheaper battery's price is so enticing (plus a lower sales tax) that it seemed to be the logical choice. But, would the $24 price difference give me some peace of mind? Or, an assurance that it will perform and last like the original? In the end, I went to buy the original replacement battery for my Canon G7X MKII camera. Had I purchased a cheaper camera, then, purchasing a cheaper battery would be an easy decision. The battery I received came in the sealed, original box (with hologram) and after opening, it came inside a plastic bag with a protective white plastic cover for the terminals and a folded manual/instruction sheet. Out of the box and using the external charger, it took about 2 hours to fully charge it. No errors, no warnings, no worries, no headaches - it simply worked as it should - just like the original that came with the camera. Now, I have peace of mind knowing that I have a reliable back-up battery for the camera during my travels.

YES!!!! YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT LISTING! THIS IS FOR YOUR G7X MARK ii, And if you've already purchased the camera then you know the battery life is literally one hour for filming. If You are like me and create sit down/talking videos & Vlogs. I definitely would recommend you buy 3. so you can have 4 total (including the one that came with the camera. I would also recommend you get a second wall charger for the batter as well! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TRYING TO PUMP OUT CONTENT AND DONT WANT TO WAIT 2.5 - 3 HOURS FOR THE BATTERY TO CHARGE BACK UP!!! Dont get me wrong I STAN for canon , Especially my g7x it can litterally take a beating... Ive had it 3 years... HOWEVER!!!!!! Just be prepared to have to buy 3 more batteries......

So I bought from another listing on amazon , for this same battery but my mistake was not trusting the zero reviews and the fact that the price was half the price for $25 ๐ I bought it anyways and it was horribly counter fit. (See occurred attached) So anyways I bought this battery to use for my G7x Mark ii and I used it for a day for about 3 hours total , taking 16 minute clips at a time (on purpose) to see if the battery would die fast cause my last battery would die after 20 minutes of use , and for the total Of 30 minutes of recording in one day , the battery was still 100% full! Iโm impressed and now I can actually use my camera thanks to this new battery! Buy with confidence! Defiantly the same as the original one that came with the camera originally!

I really want to give this zero stars but I can't and I need you potential buyers to beware! DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY! THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW! IF YOU HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS OR DON'T BELIEVE ME THIS IS MY IG: @consciouscoolie I purchased this battery thinking it was an authentic Canon battery. To my surprise it was not. I figured that out the moment I charged it fully and put it in my camera and the battery died within 10-15 seconds (no lie). I thought I was crazy. I said ok I will charge it again tomorrow and try it again. I did, and the same thing happened. I said to myself, ok maybe they sent a defective battery. I will just return this one and use my original battery until I purchase a another backup battery. I attempted to use my original battery in my camera and the same thing happened with that battery used. I then went and bought a battery from best buy thinking of course their brand of battery is going to work for my camera... Sure enough it did NOT, the same thing happened with that battery as well, but even worst. The moment I put that best buy battery into the camera and pressed the power on button, my battery died. It died so fast! It didn't even stay on long enough for the lens of the camera to protrude. (and everyone with a canon G7X Mark II knows that as soon as you power on the camera the lens come right out) . Now my camera is just stuck and repairs according to canon cost $329.00. Mind you my camera worked perfectly fine before I purchased this battery from Amazon. SMDH! DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY! THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW!
