This recliner is reasonably priced. The faux leather finish is smooth. Seams and stitching are tidy and sturdy. There is some assembly required, but is is very simple, takes but a minute and the instructions are clear. If you are looking for a sleek, modern alternative look to the standard overstuffed bulky chair, then this one might just be for you! The chair offers good back support and comfort -- no sagging into over-soft cushions., I especially like how easy it is to fold down the leg rest when it's time to get out of the chair -- my previous chair gave me a big fight to get out of it -- this chair only requires minimum effort and pressure to fold back down to the upright position. I do miss the arm storage compartment I had with my old chair, as this one has no such thing, but it is a small trade off for me, considering all the other features mentioned above. I am very happy with this purchase. P.S.: The chair shipped promptly, arrived quickly and was in great condition. The box will fit through a 31" doorway -- an essential for me, with the old farm house we have, with narrow doorways. ... show more

This is everything I expected. The fabric looks like distressed leather and feels like car seat leather...but it's fabric. I have a couch made of similar distressed leather fabric that still looks brand new after 8 years therefore I expect this recliner will look just as good in 8 years. While I did need a neighbor to help me get the box through the front door, I assembled it all by myself in 7 minutes (I'm a retired female). It took longer to open the box than it did to put it together. Screw on the 4 feet, slip the back into the seat, then slide the side trim bars along the back and get ready to recline. It is very comfortable. My personal feeling is that when in the non-recline position it leans too far back. However, a small throw pillow corrects that problem. Also, from seated to the first recline position took about 15 to 20 tries before it operated easily enough to do it without getting up and starting the recline by pulling on the footrest. Now it works perfectly. Given the price, I think this is an excellent purchase. It looks more expensive than the $229 I paid (Dec. 2024). It operates smoothly, fully reclines for sleeping, halfway reclines for comfortable TV viewing, knitting, reading, etc. And the upright position is also a good position for those activities as well as eating. I had my eye on these reclining chairs for a while and finally decided to order them. First of all, I was super happy with the shipping time. It came in weeks ahead of the estimated delivery date, so that was fantastic. Assembly was quite simple. FYI, these chairs arrive in 2 boxes. One box contains the sides and back while the other has the seat, feet, and decorative sides of the back. From box to finished piece it took me (35 year old lady) by myself about 15 minutes to put together. You simply slide pieces into place. No screws or nuts or bolts to deal with. One suggestion I would give is to watch the video of the man assembling the chair, found in the photos of this item listing. If you follow exactly what he does, you’ll have no trouble at all. As for comfort and quality...I love the look and feel of the chair. It’s a microfiber material that looks much like worn leather. It’s super soft to the touch. The chair itself is firm and fairly comfortable. I’m 5ft 3in and it fits me well. It probably would not be ideal for a tall person. I am larger in size and have no issues fitting comfortably. I can understand why other reviewers say that the back leans back too far. I don’t find it a problem necessarily, as a small pillow under my head when reclining will remedy that. The initial attempts at reclining were slightly tough but after a few times it loosens up and is easy to do. As for durability, I can’t really say just yet. Based on what I see and feel, if it’s not heavily used it should last several years. For the price, I’m okay with that. I think it was a great deal and meets my needs. If you’re looking for something you’ll sit in for hours every day, invest more in something else. Overall, I’m quite happy! And from the photo, it looks like my pup is too! ... show more

The only thing i'm upset about is it was delivered by fedex and the guy just left it sit outside by my door as I waited all day for it. I was here but it didn't bring it in to my door he left it set outside.I had to get a neighbor to get this chair.Inside for me. With that said, I do love the chair.It's extremely comfortable.It's just the right firmness, it's just the right size for me and for my living room. I did not want a over stuffed monstrosity of a chair. I wanted a simple chair to read in that gave firm support to my back. I looked at many styles and companies. I almost didn't buy this because I did not believe that you could buy a decent chair at this price point. However, I ran into this one, and it was the color and size and simple design that I was looking for. I knew that you couldn't return this chair, so it was a gamble. I needed a chair now and I felt I could use this one while I searched for a better chair. It came a day earlier than they said and I found it in the driveway. It was in one box instead of two, but at 72 I still managed to get it in the house. It was quite easy to put together. I expected it to be a flimsy cheaply done chair. I was wrong. It seems to me that they engineered the best chair they could at this price point. The mechanicals work beautifully, and the fit and finish is outstanding. I am biased because I like the color and texture so well. I am happier with this purchase than anything else in some time. Although I am of a larger frame than some others I fit in this chair exactly as I wanted. The things to look out for, the cushions and side arms are quite firm, but that was what I was looking for. The mechanism itself, although it works smoothly, may be difficult for someone who is more disabled than I am. I believe that lies in this type of recliner, but it is something to consider. I waited on this review for about two weeks to test my first impressions. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I also bought a chair protector and headrest when I could measure the actual chair, which makes it for me that much better. ... show more

Purchased two chairs. Comfortable but have a couple issues. First, one chair has a couple front tacks(that are decorative going down both sides of front) missing. One tack was loose in plastic packaging - damaged - and couldn't be reinserted in chair - broke in half when I tried. There was also an arrow sticky someone put on pointing to the hole where pieces missing!!!!! SO IF THEY KNEW CHAIR DEFECTIVE - WHY DID THEY SEND IT??? Also, tried to call seller and also tried to email - BOTH FAILED. Call wouldn't go through - and email came back REJECTED! Have Amazon working on this now. I also have a problem with material. Apparently allergic to whatever is faux leather - because my back and arms - even with a sweatshirt on - start itching. I can't use these chairs. ... show more
