I searched through dozens and dozens of knife sets before I decided on this one. I bought it after reading all of the positive reviews and because the blades were Swedish steel and not German. I also liked the fact that this set included only those knives that get used 99% of the time, and not crammed with steak knives and other specialty knives and gadgets that are better suited in the silverware drawer. And when I tell you these knives are sharp, I mean REALLY SHARP! They're also beautifully built and well balanced in the hand. And the wooden block is a piece of furniture! It's absolutely gorgeous and looks professionally made. And did I mention the price? With the online Amazon coupon this set came in under $300, which is a bargain for what you get. So if you're in the market for a great knife set, without all of the unnecessary clutter, then give this one a try. You'll be VERY happy you did!

I got these knives for my dad for Christmas. He is a knife snob. That being said, he's also very frugal and the last set of knives he bought are over 20 years old. He started out wary because he was unfamiliar with the brand, but that changed quickly and his dialogue went as follows (from initial opening of box to individual inspection): "These look nice..." "These are really nice!" "...how much did you spend on these?!" "these are really, REALLY sharp" "you spent too much on these, didn't you" "Ow, ****" (yea, he nicked himself) "these are incredible!" He was so impressed with the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that when he tried to guess how much they cost, he estimated over double what I bought them for. That was on Christmas. He STILL raves about the knives.

Wow these are sharp. The packaging was extreme. Unpacking each piece took multiple steps. There were layers of boxes. I'm happy so far.

I've had these knives for over a year and they are great. Im not an expert or an everyday user but the edge seems to hold up well and they seem to be of high quality. I have recommended them to friends and family and have bought two sets of matching steak knives. Good stuff.

Good sharp, nice looking set of knives. But! They do rust easy. I contacted the company and they gave me ways to clean the rust. I wanted theses knives to last the everyday use. I try to clean them by hand as much as possible but sometimes they went through the dishwasher and boom...rust spots. I wouldn’t be so picky but for $345 dollars for such a small set of knives I expected some amazing knives. They do cut really well and they are sharp. Easy to use and nice looking overall. So if you can truly hand wash all the time than these are for you. Busy mom makes dinner every night, not so good for me.
