I was a little worried about ordering this chandelier. I found one I loved at ZGallerie for $500 and was sad that I couldn't get it. It had a beautiful glass orb hanging from it that I really loved. Whenever I find something in a store that I love but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for, I turn to Amazon. I followed the directions using the zip ties to put the rings together and it was very easy to put together. The chain was too short for the length I wanted my orb to hang. I really like the look of down-rods and decided to buy a down-rod instead of a longer chain. I looked online and they were all expensive. I went to Lowe's and all they sold were ceiling fan down-rods. I wanted a thin rod like the orb itself. I discovered a mini pendant light that came with an adjustable rod up to 69.57 inches. It was only $20 and perfect for my vaulted ceilings. For $20 I could justify buying it for parts! I drilled a hole in the bottom of the rod and hooked two large key rings through it so that I could attach the orb to it's new rod. I painted the key rings with some oil rubbed bronze paint I had on hand so that everything matched. My hubs used the canopy from the pendant so the the rod would connect easily and the wiring was just like any light. I also purchased a crystal off Amazon to bling up my chandelier. I tied it on with fishing line. I am so happy with my chandelier, I actually like it better than the $500 ZGallerie Orb. It is worth every penny, you will not be disappointed! ... show more

Extermely happy with the chandelier. I read all the reviews about needing high celilings. We have 8 feet celilings and love how the light looks installed. We added a dimmer and it's perfect above the dining room table. It took a little patience putting it together. I would recommend putting it together one day and installing the next. You can go wrong with the price. Most lighting I was looking at was priced much higher. ... show more

I would agree you need at least a 9 foot ceiling for this, it's just too large for a room with an 8 foot ceiling even when set over a very large table. I tried it in the dining room and usually like an oversized light there, but it just didn't work. However I loved it so much I decided to use it in my foyer, which is two stories tall, and it worked GREAT. As you can see in the picture, went with something a bit smaller in the Dining Area. Chain plenty long, the electrician even had to take some links out, and my ceiling there is sloped so I'd say it is about 14 feet high. Everyone who comes in comments on how pretty it is. I put a dimmer on the switch and 60w bulbs in so I'd have choice of how much light; it looks beautiful at all settings. My only comment is to tie together the spots where the circles connect and leave them that way until it's been hanging a few days before removing them. ... show more

This globe pendant light looks great in our remodeled 12' x 13' dining room. We wanted to replace a 20 year old brass unit with 8 lights, and I was concerned that the five light unit would not be enough light. Boy was I wrong! The room is lit beautifully, and my daughter said it looks very contemporary. I know these are getting quite popular, and don't want to follow a trend, but I really like the look. It took my husband only 25 to 30 minutes to put the lamp together. The process from start to finish was about an hour and fifteen minutes, but only because the ceiling box was very tight and working to put the wires together was tedious. Luckily the pendant is light-weight (compared to the one taken down) and it was easy for me to hold in place while he connected. We hung it slightly higher than the old unit because we wanted the light to disperse farther and didn't want the fixture so close to the dining table. I really love the look. I gave it 4 stars because the bottom arc would not stay in place and was separated too far from the crossing arc to glue as others have. Anyone else probably won't notice, but I am not sure it won't affect the stability of the unit. We did not have any other parts that did not perform as expected, and it does light the space perfectly. ... show more

I ordered this for our entryway and it arrived within 2 days, well packaged. There is some building involved to get all the stabilizing bars attached that form the circle. Unfortunately the box was missing all the "A2" parts...however, after a phone call, Amazon sent a replacement for us to get the missing parts and requested that we send the remainder of the package back (free of charge). Strangely though, it took Amazon 4 days for the replacement to arrive at our house). The fixture accepts LED bulbs, I recommend you stick with 40W as it is bright. The chain is easy to hang from a slanted ceiling, length can be adjusted. Now that the light is up, we love it! ... show more

I first dropped for pendants in my local light fixture store. I found a pendant that appeared that exactly matched this one for $700! I then turned to Amazon and found this one. I purchased this pendant to hang in my two story entryway. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm very happy with my selection. I had to have a contractor install it because of the ceiling height, and I assembled it before hand because I didn't want to pay an electrician to do something that I could do myself. It took the electrician about 30 minutes to install the preassembled unit. The assembly took me most of a morning to complete on my own. It wasn't terribly tricky, but it took some time to maneuver the spokes around the circular frame. I was a little worried that the chain that comes with the unit would be too small, so I purchased a backup chain just in case. The backup chain turned out to not be necessary, the original chain was long enough to suspend the pendant from the ceiling in my two story entryway so it hangs at a nice height, it's about 4 feet in length. The color matches my other oil rubbed bronze light fixture. This pendant gives an updated modern look to my entryway for a great price! ... show more
