Nice for the price. 1st time putting together is posted to the bag but are not that helpful. Need two people to put together but is possible with one person. I would spend the extra to get a pop-up.

I was able to set it up in about 15 minutes by myself the first time out of the box without reading the instructions. With that said, here are the details. The good: - construction is as expected. it's ok. Similar to most tents. - the size is ok but the claimed size is misleading. See cons... - pretty good headroom in the middle but you have to duck to get in. I'm 6' tall and can barely reach the hook in the center. The apex of the fully open zipper is 62". - packs up rather compactly. - I like the added sun/wind shade which is the main reason I picked this model. Very easy to install. The cons: - It takes a while to set up. I'm assuming it will take as long or longer to take down but it's Not unexpected. - The fringe along the bottom is pretty short. If the poles aren't buried slightly, I believe it could provide a path for bugs. See pic. I may send it back because of this. - slanted sides reduce the usable area. The actual width of the top flat side to flat side is only 9 feet: or a little short of 11 feet corner to corner. Huge difference from 13 feet advertised. But you can see that from the pictures and wasn't a surprise. Bottom line: The shelter is about what I expected, except for the short fringe along the bottom. Not sure I will keep it because of this. ***Suggest adding water inflatable bladders along the bottom fringe to hold/weight it down...Patent pending.... ... show more

    • Great Tent With Challenging Directions

Tent is great, but I gave it only 4 stars because the directions (found on a flap inside the tent bag) have tiny print and aren't very explicit. I suggest you definitely do a trial set up at home BEFORE you go camping! MY DIRECTIONS (to supplement theirs): 1) lay out tent (make sure both tent zippers are zipped closed), 2) assemble each pole & sort by size into 3 separate piles, 3) take the two longest black poles and one at a time, thread them thru the dark blue sleeves found on the tent roof. Each of these black poles will go thru 2 dark blue sleeves. 4) take the 2 orange (tan) poles and one at a time, thread them thru the orange sleeve. Each of these orange poles will go thru only one orange roof sleeve. 5) two people working together then *gently* flex each pole upwards, one pole at a time, & simultaneously poke each end of that pole into its applicable two-sided plastic angle piece. NOTE the angle pieces have 2 different-sized openings on either end. **Make sure you're getting the roof poles into the smaller sized opening!!** 6) attach the roof tent clips onto the roof poles. 7) take the short metal poles, and one at a time insert them into the larger holes found on the aforementioned plastic angle pieces, and then poke the bottom end of each metal pole onto the metal prong found on the screening's bottom edge. Do this for each metal pole. 8) adjust the side poles to spread out the tent, and then stake these metal poles in place using the black loops found next to the aforementioned metal prongs. *Don't extend the poles too far outwards or the zippers will be stressed & won't work very easily* 9) extend the tent's side ropes so that they will take up any slack, and then stake these ropes onto the ground. As needed, adjust the tension on these ropes with the slider piece. And there you have it, a great screen tent. Enjoy! ... show more

I haven't found any dislikes. We are about to embark on a week adventure camping. Our gazebo tent is our shelter for sleeping, eating, and hanging out. Where we are going there is no chance of rain. I want to find a large enough rain fly for when weather is not as comfortable.
