I like it, gets the water hot, and got it scratch and dent so nice and cheap. Mainly here to give some info on this. So this is actually in metric, that's why you can't find vent parts, it is actually a 60mm vent. Searching "60mm wall thimble” will get you the camplux branded wall thimble for this. All 3 fittings are 1/2" BSP (BSPP technically but is usually called out as BSP) threads and you will need a BSP to NPT adapter. BSP doesn't seal on the thread, it will need a gasket (unit comes with these) inside the adapter to seal, use a water based lubricant (yes 'that' lubricant will work;) ) on the gasket to aid in sealing and preventing damage to the gasket. I would suggest puting one wrap of teflon on the thread just to aid in tightening, but it will not contribute to sealing. I also noted that the required natural gas pressure (6-8w.c.) was a bit above what is supplied at my house (5.5w.c.), thankfully i was able to get the regulator adjusted (don't forget to check your other appliances minimum and maximum gas pressures before doing this). Tech support is extremely responsive (I would get results in 10 minutes) so that was really nice! Oh, it also seems it no longer has the 10-20min auto-shutdown timer. I can not find any new documentation referencing it and I definitely have been taking 20min+ showers! (There's some very old sources stating that it does, glad they got rid of that)

Freezes and non repairable even when fully winterized. Don't buy. This is my second one as they told me I didn't properly winterize the first one. I got to pay for both and spend considerable time and effort messing with it. My application is in a tiny home only used the nice part of the year. Very frustrating, messy and expensive experience. Just finished cleaning up the water that flooded the structure. I fully disconnected it for winter, opened and opened the drain plug on the bottom months before the first freeze. It keeps water in the coils and can't be winterized and offers no freeze protection. Water poured out of it as soon as I reconnected it for the season. Kind of crazy for recreational applications.

Bought this as a cheap alternative to replace failed tank heater. Was not sure what to expect for such a low cost heater but after 2 months of use, have been quite pleasently suprised. Instalation was fairly straight forward with the exception of needing to plug in, which I fortunately had nearby recertacle. Water and gas lines hook on with common fittings. I did put a T&P valve in the water line along with gas pressure regulator (recomended/required by most codes) which are not included. Venting will depend on your paticular installation. I was able to install with the included vent pipe but may require additional vent pipe depending on your paticular needs. As this is a base/entry level model, temp. control is basic and takes some patience. Maual does not explain how to set very well which is why tech support got 3 stars. Was able to figure out on my own but no one should have to waste a lot of time on phone to get info on setup that should be in manual. Overall, has performed well over last couple of months. As it is a smaller unit, best suited for anyone who does not have high demand for hot water, as will not run multiple faucets at one time. Great for small home, garage, camper etc.. or installed as point of use such as shower, as it will deliver continuous hot water.

We are remodeling a detached garage into a dog grooming shop and researched tankless water heaters. This Camplux tankless water heater is what we decided to purchase. The directions for installation were not great but all was figured out and working wonderfully! The water heats up in a pretty quick amount of time. Works for a few months then just stops heating up. Professional installation, proper maintenance done and does not heat up anymore. Im switching to a different brand completely. You'll get a good 4-6 months of hot water and thats about it. Best of luck to yall.

I searched and searched for a permanent mount propane water heater. That's because I don't want electric and it has a 120 volt cord with 2 amp current requirement. It may have been documented I haven't even checked. Just be aware. The other one I purchased and returned was because it said do not permanent mount. It did however have 2 d size batteries for a ignighter.
