This water heater arrived quickly. It installed relatively easily. It does not get very hot. It gets warm. It is enough to wash your hands. And a couple of items. Past that it is not going to stay warm. Not what I expected. I thought it would heat the water as the water ran through it but it really has just a tiny tank maybe five or 6 gallons in there which is why it’s so large. Ate up hall the cannot space. The heater is totally "as advertised." It is a nice, compact unit and does what it is intended to do. Our regular hot water heater is so far from the kitchen sink that we were wasting a couple of gallons of water every time we needed to get hot water to it. My problem was -- not with the heater -- but with the connections. I finally had to go to a large plumbing wholesaler to find a "splitter" so I could get hot water from the heater to both the kitchen faucet and the dishwasher. I never did find one with a shut-off. It's simply a 4 gallon hot water heater. You get about 2.5 gallons of warm water unless you run it until the heating light kicks on and then wait to let it heat the full tank; then you get about three gallons of hot water. But there is no "on-demand" heating, and as such this has a very limited use case. ... show more

The product works as expected and provides hot water within a second after turning on the tap. Installation was straightforward for anyone with basic plumbing experience. The relief valve threads came with a pre-applied coating that is not a sufficient replacement for pipe dope and/or Teflon tape.
