Only thing one could possibly ask for is a lower price. This hot water heater works very well, installs easily, does not leak and provides up to X gallons (we got the 4 gallon) of HOT water with an easy to adjust temperature dial. I bought this to replace a similar 'smart' mini-tank water heater that quit heating after a few years. This unit is a dumb water heater, but it works very well. To be honest, I only used the 'smart' features on our old unit once or twice in all the time that it worked. This dumb heater works just as well, if not better, for providing hot water - which IS the main reason we wanted it! Prior to this unit, I purchased another dumb heater here on Amazon that was nearly half the cost. I had to return that unit and start over, which led me to this one. THIS unit took less than 20 minutes to install. All connections were leak free on the first attempt. (the cheaper one leaked at every oriface, no matter how tight or how much tape) You may need a pair of 1/2 to 3/8 reducers, depending on your existing water supply. I already had these, but they are not included. Everything elses needed to install is included in the box. Once installed, it took very little time for the water to heat. There is a manual dial knob on the front to set your desired temperature. I have zero complaints about the way it works. It is nearly silent, most of the time. No settings to worry with, just plug it in and set the temp. You will quickly decide if you prefer hotter or cooler, water and adjust your knob accordingly. Once you have your temp dialed it - that's it! It just works to provide X gallons of instant hot water! Again, it heats very quickly so if you use all X gallons, the next person would not have to wait long for the water to be hot again. I installed this unit in January of 2026. If we have issues in the future, I will update this review.

Well after five years this unit quit working. No power light. No heat Follow up after 4 1/2 years: Still works perfect. I have this in an outbuilding supplying two sinks. It is used through out the day, every day. Follow up after almost 3 years...... still working perfect . No maintenance needed. Application: I have a work shop. I use this unit for hand and dish washing. It is hooked up to a wash tub and bathroom sink. It has plenty of capacity to perform these functions. I am still very happy with this heater I have had for about 8 months. I replaces another unit (different brand) that only lasted about 12 months. So far so good. It was easy to install. Plumbing is all about getting right fittings so some persistence is always needed The other unit failed (again different brand) as water got inside the controls when I cleaned my shop sink. The water got in where the pipes existed the casing. This brand has superior seals in this area. It delivers near instant hot water. re-warms quickly It is a bit bulky but I purposely bought the larger unit for the tank size Totally happy after 8 nonths

Camplux is a good little water heater; I had a plumber put the 4-gallon water heater under a sink; it worked beautifully for a bit, but then it started to leak under the tank itself. I called the plumber, and we realized it was leaking from within. I contacted the company about it, and they were very professional. They took care of my problem quickly and sent out a new one to replace it. It was NOT their fault or my plumber's fault. It happens sometimes; who knows how or why it happen, but again, they were quick to solve my problem. That shows you how Camplux is a great company that stands behind its products. I would buy from them again, and y'all should, too.

On the one hand, it does what it's supposed to do — heat up water. But two things bother me: 1) The red light goes off to indicate that the water is heated up. This is absurd; if there is no light on then how do you know if it's even functioning? It should turn green when it's hot enough. 2) I wish there was a drain valve, instead of having to flip the whole thing to drain. For my application (in a small cabin) I need to drain the water in cold weather when I am not home, so a valve would be useful.
