  • Worked great
Color: Black & Grey
Easy setup and had no issues holding extra weight when used. If the bug net isn't put up all the way, it can feel a little tight inside but also holds in some heat when the environment is colder. Still worth 5 stars

  • Good quality hammock
Color: Black & Grey
Very nice quality hammock, confortable and easy to install. The only downside is that when I lay in it, the top closes which makes it very hot in there without à breeze. But it makes it nice and dark for a nap in the sun

  • One of the best purchases for car camping I've made
Color: Black & Grey
To be fair, this is the first hammock I've bought but I definitely made the right choice. I liked it soo much that I bought another one for my son. We took the hammocks to Colorado for summer camp with BSA. As a scouter (adult leader in BSA) I've had a lot of time to relax at base camp and this by far is the best way to relax in the woods. Forget zero gravity chairs and inflatable mattresses, This hammock is amazing. It's priced right, has excellent durability and is super easy to set up. On the way to camp, we set these up under a state park pavilion and slept under the mosquito nets. At a camp, we set them up near the tents and had a way to relax in between activities. I even left mine out when it rained for about an hour (cus I forgot to put it up before it was too late) it dried out in under 2 hours after it stopped. Now I am a big guy, 6' 2" pushing 300lbs and this held me and my 85lb son at the same time. I am impressed, its able to be set up in under 3 minutes, packs away extremely small and is something we will be taking on EVERY trip from now on. ... show more

  • Buy it simply for the straps, carabiners, cord, and bungee cord
Color: Black & Grey
I bought this to use a gear hammock because of its integrated bug net. I mean why buy a decent gear hammock for $20-80 when I can simply just buy another hammock with all the extra goodies and the addition of another actual hammock. You pay for what you get but in this case it's not a diss. Not only is the hammock of good quality but the main thing I used was the carabiners, for another hammock because I didn't want my climbing ones out in the rain, the bungee cord to make a anchor point at the bottom of the trees for my tarp so I didn't have to stake them, and finally the straps. OH MY GOD THE STRAPS. If you're an unsure hammock camper simply buy this one for the straps, each strap has 18 adjustment loops + the 1 for the tree. With this amount of loops you can actually find the perfect hang extremely easy, they're also slightly thinner which makes them compatible as replacements for cinch buckle style straps should you ever replace them. To put them in perspective the vastly more popular wise owl hammock straps have 5 loops... I can tell you when I was first starting out those 5 loops did not do me justice, I immediately swapped over to cinch buckle style straps after wasting a lot of time trying to get tie downs & ratchets to work. The bug net is completely integrated which means there is absolutely no way for bugs to get in unlike other hammocks with removable bug nets/ completely separate bug nets if that aspect of being outside bothers you. That is also a con though however as you can never take it off, it also only has one entrance to get in from and the other side is simply sewn into the hammock seamlessly, luckily however it is a double zipper which makes it perfect for use as a gear hammock. The last con would technically be that you can't have a ridgeline inside your bug net, it has to be outside and you'll probably be using it to keep your bug net off your face if you were to be using this as an actual hammock. ... show more

  • Great starter hammock
Color: Black & Red
Everything seems to be working out well, I would like to have a center bugnet loop in addition to the 2 provided. I’m not a cold weather backpacker but did a test run in its few nights ago. Used a pad under my air mattress with a North Face Dark Star bag. Weather was in the 30’s, clear skies and a light breeze. I was quite warm and cozy. Used a 12 ft Onewind hammock tarp that closes at both ends . No problems except getting used to hammock camping. I had a comfortable night. ... show more

  • Buy it
Color: Black & Red
I bought this for my boyfriend, he was using a smaller one made from cloth and it had just a normal rope with it. I got this one for him and he instantly fell in love, he bragged about how roomy it is, how comfortable, how convenient. He said that was the first real time he got to take a nap in his hammock, most of the time he only really got to doze off. The net is a great addition, you don't have to worry about bugs getting in especially if you're trying to nap. Easy setup, good quality, worth it. ... show more

  • A++++
Color: Black & Grey
Unbelievable hammock tent for what you pay. I am currently traveling and forgot to bring my Hennessey Hammock which is a $225 camping hammock. This Hammock is just about the same and it is ready to unpack and sleep comfortably on your first night. I highly recommend.

  • Not as comfy as others
Color: Black & Grey
I fell in love with hammock camping recently while using an ad hoc set up of a cheap hammock and a separate bug net. I wanted to find one that had a bug net included that didn’t drag to the ground, so I tried this one. This is fine for me to lounge around in, though in the summer heat I found it wasn’t as breezy (may have been that the one I picked is black and absorbed some heat?) But it was not as comfortable as my cheapo one for sleeping. I found it to be too narrow and I couldn’t turn caddy corner. And although the seams are well made and reinforced, they added a pressure point at my sides when the hammock was under tension while laying in it. I found the bug net on this to be surprisingly troublesome, and I was most excited about that feature. The product images show the hammock staked on the sides. Some people stake their hammocks to lessen the swinging, and it’s optional. But this one HAS to be staked or the bug net folds inward and lays in your face, no matter how high you put your ridge line. I like hammocking for the fewer steps it takes to set up. This hammock adds more steps. If you already stake your hammock by preference, and you are naturally a straight line, on your back sleeper, this hammock is probably great for you. It seems well constructed, the zippered bug net is nice, the fact that it’s reversible for when you don’t need the bug net is also great. The straps that came with it are also great. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. ... show more
