Only three stars because the straps are crappy. The hammock itself is your normal, light-weight hammock. But if you purchase, do yourself a favor and buy a set of the Cutequeen Hammock Tree Straps for $9.99. They’re a game-changer because they’re 19.6’ long and have 34 loops. Hanging this hammock is 1,000 times easier with those straps as opposed to the flimsy rope straps it comes with. ... show more

    • PROS AND CONS (personal experience.) Parachute leather hammock can hold 400 lbs safely.
PROS: I call it parachute leather. This very light weight material is surprisingly warm as heavier materials (My review is summer/fall and not winter.). It tries to be waterproof but it isn't. It is holding strength and I am around 280. I have back problems and I adapted quickly to this one except for one thing. CONS: If you are using it as a bed replacement as I am, I cannot speak for how long it'll hold up, but right now it's impressed me except... it pulled a flip on me when I sat down on it wrong and I gracelessly ended up in the floor. The edge of it doesnt have special pull back like some of the more expensive bed-replacement hammocks have. The material just ends. I've had 4 hammocks the last 4 years and this is the first that I have capcized in. NEUTURAL: If you stretch on a hammock this hammock is beautiful to stretch on. It is light weight and it feels like the exercise ball version of a hammock. It is very satisfying to lay in if you do light exercise and stretches in bed/hammock. More thought: I use an exercise ball in hammock with me while I am sitting up or to balance against the wall and I have had no problem doing that in this hammock. Setup: It was very light and compact and it was setup ready to go. It is very light. Like a large poncho. Final Note: Even the more expensive hammocks rip sometimes if you kick them wrong or something, even if they are new. The problem is if you injure yourself and that is a personal call. ... show more

I cannot resist writing a review for this magic hammock! I absolutely in love with it. This is the most relaxing thing I have ever dealt with. I love everything about it. I do have stationary hammock on my backyard, but I needed a simple one so I can relax while watching for my kids playing. I decided to take camping hammock, since I have a lot of trees on the back and this way I can take it with me on camping. This one was the right fit and it was not expensive. I did not have high expectations from this hammock but it exceeded them all. Do you know these hammock yogis are using? This hammock is like yoga one, I can simply hide in it and it is super durable, water-resistant and dries quickly. I recommended to all my friends and can recommend it to everyone who is looking for a camping hammock. ... show more

Bought these a while back expecting to go camping sooner. First time I laid in it the fabric ripped. Have two more no issues so I can only assume it had a flaw In it when it was manufactured and I didn’t see it until it was to late.

This is a strong and well designed hammock for the price. It is easy to assemble, and also easy to clean in laundry, we first remove the black straps on each end. You can dry on delicate, or hang to dry quickly since it is a tent-like rip-stop material that is light. Use an old curtain rod or dowel rod with a piece of tape on end to feed the black support webbing back through, takes seconds and makes it easier. We have it in our guest room so they can stretch it across room, or store when not in use… kids and adults love it! ... show more

This ad is misleading, the “straps” that come with it are not quick adjusting and do not have the loops up and down them as pictured. They are simply black strips of fabric that the instructions tell you to tie knots up and down. They don’t stay in place. The hammock itself seemed fine, then I sat in it once (I weigh 125) and the stitching is already pulling apart and stressed at the seams. You get what you pay for on this one. My 11 yo son loves this item. He is very sensory but loves it’s cocooning, light weight, gently swing and ease of care. It also gives him outdoor time, fresh air, and a cozy nest in which to read. I highly recommend this item, especially for kids on the Spectrum or with Sensory challenges.
