This coffee is rich & deep, not bitter at all. Velvet Moon is superb in our Cuisinart drip brewer & French press. This coffee makes the best COLD BREW ever!!! Start out with room temperature spring water. Use a course grind. I brew our coffee for 2 days @ room temperature, then brew for 24 hours in the fridge. This makes a strong concentrate. Only 1 third concentrate to 2 thirds spring water makes a delicious bold cold brew. If you prefer less strong brew, use less concentrate. This method makes enough concentrate for 5 12 oz. drinking jars. (using a 32 oz. brewer.)I made our first batch using another coffee, cold water & refrigerating 12 hours as instructed by brewer maker. Weak tan water resulted. Such a versatile, wonderful coffee & priced right. Organic as well? "NUFF SAID." This is a great coffee, versatile & oh so tasty. ... show more

I've found it difficult to find reasonable priced GOOD coffee. I am so sick of Starbucks and Peets, have tried at least 100 different brands and/or roasts. Occasionally I find something deep and complex and delicious but it's cost prohibitive for how much I use, and that's several pots a day. Anyways, I have found one coffee on Amazon and I've bought many 5 lb bags over the past few years. I won't mention it because it's often out of stock, but that's really good. This, though? Superb.     • Wake up to Velvet Dark Roast every morning
Found this coffee at Costco, went back and it was no longer available. Of course, came to Amazon and it was here for me. Decided to make life easy and place this coffee on subscription, I suggest you do the same. If you like strong, dark roast coffee that will keep the coffee flavor even after you have added your favorite sweetener, this is for you. Not for the weak coffee drinkers as this one is sure to put a pep in your step. Whole beans are dry enough that they do not cause issues in the espresso machine auto grinder. ... show more

This is a very good value. It makes a good latté; however, it's really not smooth enough for a great espresso or americano. Peets is pricier and smoother without the steamed milk. I was put on to this Cameron blend by a friend who can get it at his Chicago area Costco Warehouse Store. FL Costco stores don't carry it. I get stellar Amazon shipments and will continue to buy this at a great price. ... show more

What a marvelous coffee! The "velvet" is 100% true in its smoothness, creaminess (we make espressos with this), and lovely flavor! Zero bitterness, I have been looking for a non-bitter coffee in the States since I traveled to Europe. Velvet Moon can be categorized as such! Cheers!☕️☀️
