I am a private detective so I purchased this for surveillance operations. I did not know what to expect as I was utilizing this to hold an older video camera. I have to say upon opening the package I was quite taken aback by how well made it was. Its quite heavy and seemed very sturdy. However this also caused concern as I was now relying on this suction device to not only hold its own weight, but also the weight of my older camera. When I first tested it I affixed it to my driver side window with the camera attached and just sat and waited for it to drop. Eventually I stopped waiting as it was clear it wasn’t going to come off. However with that mere flick of a finger on the removal portion of the cup and it pops right off. I thought that was pretty damn cool. Yea I know I sound crazy talking about it, but the ability to have the camera positioned in the manner it allows has made my work much easier. I have used it on about a half dozen operations, no issues at all. I think it’s worth every penny. ... show more

This thing rocks! Jesus, the suction power on this unit, for being single, is insane. I literally tested it on a pretty heavy tabletop, and I lifted it with just the suction cup. Also, on my car at the racetrack, there was not much vibration since it was so sturdy, unlike smaller suction cup mounts. I would highly recommend this product, and don't be afraid of it flying off! Devices used: GoPro12 and Sony A7ii. It can handle it all! ... show more

I was hesitant on getting this and even more so trusting a suction cup to hold $1300+ worth of camera but this thing is a beast! Even on drywall, this thing will hold my ZVE10 and 70-350 lens for hours before needing a few more suction pumps. I still use an emergency tether cord whenever possible but so far, this has yet to fail me. Just make sure you check the red suction ring periodically. ... show more

    • Too much "flexibility" between cup and platform

The SC-01 suction cup seems to work well, but the rubbery connection to the upper platform to mount your camera allows too much flexing so that the camera is swing back and forth causing unstable video. Not suitable for my application. The SC-02 cup is too big to allow suction occurs with slightly curved surface (kayak deck). The cup never forms the proper seal, so it won't work, either. ... show more

I use my a7sIII cameras for shooting in closed quarters, interior of cars and other tough mounted on suction cups to glass and smooth walls. The suction cups work so well I even use it on some textured walls. The addition arm is a life saver. In cars I put the camera in a MagicRig camera cage to access all of the 1/4-20 wholes. I use standard 1/4-20 rods of varying lengths. Either screw additional ULANZI arms I bout to the camera cage. On the other end a straight rod what ever length I need to attach it to a Baby/Mini ULANZI suction Cup as an anchor. T The 4.5 is more then enough to hang the camera from or put it under neith to hold it up and then lock it in place with the rode to a mini suction cup. Some times I'll use a third suction cup. On the exterior of a car I always use three suction cup. The quality is over the top. Suction power is the best. Nothing is going to come off and hit the ground. Best of all. I bought it because of the price and the added feature of the arm that comes with it. After I used them is when I learned how insane is the build quality and they make my set up look really cool for the clients. Impressive. The media could not be loaded. So when I received this I was a little skeptical at first. Once you open the box and see all these pieces, your like wow 😯 but the instructions are very clear and located at the bottom of the box. It comes with a dust bag/ carrying bag, to store when your not using it. I do like the fact that you can change the location of where you want to place your camera. For example, I have a high dashboard and a low window. It took time for me to find a good location on the device in order for it to mount correctly and fit. I’ve been using it since I received it.
