I bought the jacket to wear while I'm walking my dogs. I have to say that this jacket is full of surprises. It has big enough front pockets for my doggie bags and treats, inside pockets for keys and other stuff, and I really love the chest pockets too. I'm obsessed with the pockets because often times, women's jackets rarely have enough pockets and when they do they are too small to keep anything in them. The jacket is well constructed and very durable. My dogs like jumping on me and tend to rip my jackets. This one has taken a beating and is still in perfect condition. I also like the zipper covers at the top that prevent irritation to my chin/neck. I'm looking forward to the weather getting nice to try out the fleece without the outer layer. I'm 5'3" and 115 lbs, I bought a medium so I can wear a sweater underneath. If I bought my usual size, I believe wearing a bulky sweater would have been uncomfortable. Where I live the temperature doesn't go below 30 degrees usually. If I lived in a cooler location, I'm not sure if this jacket would be warm enough. Needless to say I really love this jacket.

I live in the country in a very open area. When the weather is bad, whether it be rain, snow or wind, I wanted something to beat these elements when I'd walk the dogs. I was looking for a coat that was light weight, warm and roomy. It is very nice, except I don't like the hood. I wish it would have zipped all across the back instead of just the center. Also, it would have been nice if the sleeves were a bit more fitted. I like the fact that because of the zip out lining, I can wear the all year around. I ordered a size bigger, but could have gotten away with my actual size. Overall it is great.

I love the color, it’s warm, and has lots of pockets. The zipper is heavy duty, but finicky about the ends matching up. It does have Velcro to hold flaps closed on it. The hood is absolute rubbish; it’s thin, unlined, and will flop over your face as you try to walk. It is waterproof, but seems a lot like a raincoat with a matching fleece jacket.

I ordered an XX-Large because of all the reviews that said it ran small; plus, Amazon suggested that an XX-Large would be my best size (based on past clothing orders, I guess). However, it is really too big! The sleeves come down over my hands and it is just too big (and "clunky" as my husband put it). Weird design on the upper chest pockets also -- each have a zipper on the surface but have a velcro'd flap beside them with no purpose whatsoever as they cannot fold over the zipper. If the flap were to fold the opposite way to cover the zipper in foul weather I could understand it, but the flaps don't do that. Just a design thing to make it look cool? Don't know. Also, I don't like the "Camel" badge on the sleeve. If the smaller jacket fits me, I'll just remove that badge. Will return this XX-Large and try a smaller size.

I like this jacket. Definitely warm and waterproof. I LOVE the removable inner lining its amazing. The zips and the inner lining zips are a work of genius and it doesn't slip around at all. Very cool Let down is the pockets are positioned at the front straight down. Not to the sides and slanted. So definitely not comfortable to walk with your hands in the pockets. The hood also has bad internal structure so it flops over your face and you end up only seeing the ground infront of you.

I bought this coat for warmth. It is a nice coat but the zipper situation is awful. It has a double zipper and it is hard to zip the coat. For about $95 I would not expect this to be a problem. I find this very disappointing.

Bought this for our January Iceland trip. I needed a waterproof, warm coat. This lived up to my expectations! Truly waterproof and warm. I normally wear a 1X to 2X but got a 3X in the hopes it would be extra roomy for my layers underneath. Worked perfectly! Thrilled with this coat. The deep purple color is also really pretty! The hood does flop over your face but I just flipped/folded it back once or twice over and it was fine. Pockets are a bit awkward without a side slit but not enough of an issue to avoid this coat.

After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this coat for a trip to Colorado. I needed something that I could wear if it was just kind of cold as well as if it was super cold without taking 2 different jackets. This seemed to fit the bill and I knew I wouldn't have to be concerned about if it got dirty or covered in snow. Subsequently, temps in CO were actually just fine and I didn't need it... however, it has still proven to be a great coat! This is my "running around" coat that I wear throughout the week. I did go one size up just because I was a little concerned about sizing, especially with the addition of a thick sweater. I would say the sizing is about accurate but I appreciate the little bit of extra room I gained by going up a size. I have not actually used the zip out feature yet but I really like having that as an option. I was so pleased with it overall that I am actually purchasing it again as a gift for a friend.

Since it is September in the Northeast, I can't give a review if the coat performed well under extreme winter weather. Why it was given a 4 since I can't test it completely. The coat fits well, seems rugged enough, and the zipper moves properly. Lots of pockets a plus. The color is a very dark grey, almost black. To give an idea of the sizing (hopefully this'll help) I purchased a XL; I am 5', 170 lbs.

It's a bit bulkier then I was expecting from the advertisement. But it's warm and has a good range of motion which I need for my work. I'd hesitate to order a smaller size...because of it's mobility...but still feels too big.
