I generally buy my coats during the summer because prices are usually better. I have a number of Columbia and Camel Crown coats, but needed a longer one to cover the upper leg. This one is a winner. I am 5'5" and this hits me about an inch above the knee. I weigh 185, i bought the xl and it is roomy...which is fine because i plan on layering underneath. I have a few other Camel Crown jackets, along with some Columbia jackets, and I find the quality of Camel Crown to meet or exceed my Columbia jackets. This one has a 2 way zipper, which is easy to operate, large enough pockets that my phone fits well and am not worried about it falling out, and a drawcord hood which many Columbia jackets don't have. I also like that the "collar" part of it does not come up over my chin which a lot of my Columbia jackets do. It's hard to test in the summer how warm it is, but it appears to be like my other Camel Crown jackets which are extremely warm but breathable...I don't get overheated when walking in their coats. Their coats are all water resistant and wind proof, which is great in the midwest where our winters can get brutally cold and windy. Don't know if Camel Crown is an "under-rated" or "under-known" brand....but if you are on the fence about buying this coat, my advice is that for the price and the quality, go for it!

I needed a warm jacket for a few trips to cold places. I live in Florida so I don't have a need for a winter jacket on a regular basis. I chose this jacket because of the very low price. It is perfect! So comfy and warm. The quality is fantastic for such a low price. I am 5'4", 145 lbs and the medium fits perfectly. Very pleased and I highly recommend!

It's a great coat but I'm exchanging the L for a M. I normally wear a US M & ordered a L for extra room & a loose fit. It fits like a US XXL. I do like my winter coats bigger, but I was swimming in it & all that extra fabric would be cumbersome even with a sweater & hoodie underneath. The color is more of a deep wine than red, which is what I was hoping. The only reason I'm not giving 5 *s - the buttons on the pockets are actually functioning buttons, but they're literally just for show. There isn't another pocket under the flaps & the flaps do not do anything to close the actual pockets behind them. The pockets are pretty deep tho, so I'm not too worried about losing things. It will definitely keep me warm without having to layer up underneath & it's really easy to throw on - not stiff & bulky. Its actually really soft & comfortable. The sort of chemically, manufactured smell hit me as soon as I opened the PKG, but that seems to be the norm for mail order.

This is a nice coat, plenty of room for layering, but not too large. It does seem to pooch out a little in the front, but otherwise it fits well. You won't need to order a size larger than normal. I like the length - it falls above my knee and it will keep my upper legs warm in the winter. The double zipper is a good feature - I like to be able to unzip it from the bottom an inch or two for driving. The two pockets don't snap close (the snap is only on the trim on the outside of the pocket) but they are deep enough that things won't fall out. Another hidden inside pocket would have been nice, but the two pockets should be enough for me. The sleeve openings are big enough to fit around mittens or gloves and have an inner cuff that is elastic but not too tight. The hood is roomy and has a drawstring to tighten it around your face when the wind is bitter. The red is a nice wine red. We are past the coldest part of the winter, so I couldn't judge if it was warm enough for single digits, but it keeps me warm on 20°F mornings.

It isn't too heavy, but it seems to be warm. It also looks like it will repel water well, which will help. I bought a large, which is what Iusuallywear. It seems a little big, but that will be ok when I need more layers for those really cold days.

The way the zipper is It is so very difficult to get the zipper inserted. usually you grab the bottom of the zipper, insert the tab end and pull. because of the way the zipper is sewn in you can't find the end and can't see it.
