Great jacket, very well made. I love it but unfortunately am having to return due to size. I followed Amazon's suggestion and the sizing chart in making the decision of what size to order but the jacket is HUGE on me! I feel like a little kid playing dress up in a large adult's clothes. The length of the jacket comes past my bottom to mid-thigh, the ends of the sleeves are well past my hands and the width - I could be 9 months pregnant and still have plenty of room. I'm a chubby girl and I know a lot of items on Amazon run small so I didn't think anything of it when it said to order XXL but really, I could probably size down to a L. I tried to re-order but there is a huge price increase on the XL and L so I guess I will have to keep shopping around. Was very hesitant to purchase without knowing the brand and trying on in person, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and weight of this coat. Very warm and roomy, the lining does zip out and extends a tad beyond the waterproof topper sleeves, which is desirable. The hood is generous, which is what you would want in a coat like this. The zippers and snaps are well-made and not cheap plastic. Length is perfect, covering the hips without being restrictive. I'm a XXL and it's hard to find something like this that fits so well for women. Overall, I would definitely recommend this item and can't wait to wear it out hiking. ... show more

This jacket is far more than I expected for the price...very warm, windproof and water resistant. Was very surprised when this really small light package arrived, thinking I got ripped off, but opened package and jacket was very nicely folded up in a cloth zippered "pod" bag (a plus) examined zippers, seams etc. everything looked good. So since our temps were dropping down to below zero with highs only going up to 8-10 for the next 2 weeks I figured what the heck give it a go...well what a wonderful surprise to find that even though this jacket appears light-weight I was wonderfully warm with just a sweater on underneath. This 3 way jacket will be a fabulous addition to my outside gear...the weight is perfect to carry backpacking because of the versatility-the shell is water resistant (snow and light rain ran right off havent tested in heavy rain yet) very wind proof, length is perfect, pockets on outside are huge and zipper shut, inside pockets are very deep as well, the hood is perfect with a little drip bill and has nice pulls for snugging it around ears. The fleece liner again appears light duty but combined with the windproof shell was perfect and will work as a separate layer when backpacking again sturdy zipper and nice pockets. I used this for a photography venture out on a morning that the air temp was -5f degrees with a steady wind with gusts causing a windchill factor of -20 to -30 degrees. I wore this with a medium weight sweater and thermal shirt and was very toasty for the hour I was out (hands just couldn't handle any longer with taking gloves off and on). The fit of this jacket for me was perfect...5'2" about 135lbs purchased a size up to allow for sweater or sweatshirt and still allow for freedom of movement for photography and it was a perfect fit! It is stylish and flattering not bulky looking. Tried to refold and pack down the way it came and it very easily folded up into the "pod" bag with room to spare for my hat and gloves, making this a perfect addition not only for my everyday use but for my wilderness backpack! ... show more

I bought this for my mid/late September Alaskan cruise. It was perfect for the rain, cold, and sunny days experienced. I was able to wear the liner around the ship and added the outer layer when venturing out. It packed well and didn't feel heavy or awkward. Love having this double-duty coat. Often, just use the fleece, but when winter weather is bitter, I zip the 2 pieces together and am toasty. All fits well. Compared to NorthFace, much less expensive and nearly as fashionable. (Fit seems to run a bit large.)

the jacket itself looks nice, fits well, but the chest zipper will not open at all, I do not want to tug to hard on it, fear it will break. The inside zipper works underneath it, but not on outside. Highly disappointed in this, because I wanted to protect my phone in inclement weather.
