    • It works well, just not in my application.
It works well, if you can get a good signal. I mounted this in my hitch receiver and the signal was iffy. Sometimes I'd get a good picture, but then it would lose connection and then come back. This was in a Grand Cherokee and I guess there was just a little too much interference because of being outside the vehicle and being surrounded by the metal hitch receiver. I ended up hard wiring a license plate camera. I figured it wasn't much more work to run the wire once I had the tailgate pulled apart anyway. ... show more

    • OK, but not perfect
Installed the wireless setup on my 26 ft enclosed Aluminum trailer. The install was easy, and overall it is OK, but does have some drawbacks. First, I mounted the transmitter inside the nose of the trailer because the unit doesn't appear to be waterproof at all. Installed like this, the aluminum skin of the trailer is between the transmitter and receiver. It works but experiences some dropout, static, and the color image is now black and white most of the time. For the price it does what I need it to do, but if this were waterproof I would have mounted the transmitter on the outside front of the trailer, which I think would have given much better results. ... show more

    • Works but what about reverse wire?
It works, no issues. The only problem occurs when you need to connect its receiver to a reverse wire which should trigger rear camera view on my android screen. There is no such an option :( So either I have to open my rear camera manually. Or search some sort of reverse light fuse on my fuse panel. Or put wire from one of my rear reverse lights (the most stupid way to make it work as the whole kit stops being wireless). ... show more

    • Video quality was not so good, but this was on a 23' Motor Home
Overall this isn't a bad product, it does work. However, I installed it on a 23' motorhome, and that is a long way from the receiver. I'm not sure if that contributed to the sub-par video quality. In the end I ran a video cable to the camera and it was a far better quality picture. So, maybe this is good at a closer distance, but if you plan to use it on something over 12' long I recommend running a cable or buying a higher quality transmitter & receiver. ... show more

    • Great for a switched area camera, Not easy for backup.
This does not have the activation reverse connection. You would have to manually switch it on off.

Not sure if the distance between them makes it flicker or sometimes not connect but when they work they are decent. Most likely I will just run a wire and get rid of these sometime this year. Love the idea but they just weren't consistent enough to be count on working when I needed to make sure nothing is behind me. ... show more
