There were other less expensive options but I'm glad I bought this one as it's a brand that I recognize and it seems heavy duty and well-made to me, and the cable feels just like the one coming out of my RV. I used this extension cord on a recent ten day trip for extra reach to a generator for running various appliances, including the air conditioner. I'm new to the RV world, and let us say I'm a bit dumb with it comes to what I need. I purchased a used RV, that didn't come with a power cord. Silly me didn't know that there was a difference in power and extension cord. I bought this, and it arrived the day I was to go camping only to realize that I couldn't plug in to my RV. To say I panicked a bit, is an understatement. Luckily while I was driving to where I was going I found an RV store. I was able to cut off the end and put on a new end to make it a power cord. Which, actually overall, ended up being cheaper than buying a power cord this length. Go figure So overall, I'll give this cord a solid rating. The very first time we took our camper out this year, the electric was way up in the front of the campsite and our electric I put is all the way in the back of the camper.
