    • Best Towing Experience on a heavy trailer!
I have towed A LOT of trailers, and my current truck has anti-sway, self-leveling, and pulls most trailers like a dream. But I helped move a large trailer for a friend and he had this setup and I was shocked at how much better the tow was! Thinking I might just be wasting the money for my rig, I bought one of these... and the tow is night and day difference! My rig tows SO much better, less bounce, better handling, better stability, just AMAZING how much better!! I HIGHLY recommend this Kit!! ... show more

    • Perfect Hitch for a Travel Trailer
First impression of this hitch was not good. On my porch I found a mangled mess of what I am sure was once a complete box and a bunch of black metal parts covered in plastic bags. It was shipped only in the original packaging and no outer package, so the roughly 90lbs of metal destroyed the box in transport. Obviously no fault of the manufacturer, but I would hop amazon will at least reinforce with tape in the future. Because of the condition of the box, I was concerned it would be missing parts. As I laid everything out to inventory, I could not find instructions or parts lists. A quick google search later and I had the factory instructions and parts list and was happy to see that despite the shape of the packaging, all parts made it. The install of the hitch isn't too difficult but it does requires sockets that are much larger that most people have on hand, such 1 1/8in and 15/16 as well as a torque wrench capable of going up to 260lbs. So if you don't already have those in your tool box, go ahead and add them to your cart after adding this hitch. Once installed, pay attention to the angle of your bars and adjust as necessary to make them as flat as possible. FIrst tow with the hitch was night and day different from towing without a WDH. It is so much more controlled and almost all major bouncing of the trailer from highway bumps/pot holes, etc is eliminated along with most sway from wind and passing trucks. I would for sure recommend this product to someone that wants the WDH and Sway control without wanting to spend $800+. SO far I am very happy, and if it wasn't for amazon not reinforcing the packaging, would probably be 5 stars at this point. ... show more

Really need to get the brackets tight on the trailer. No torque settings listed, but someone said for that size nut/bolt, 100ft lbs seemed right. Mine slipped after installation at the RV center. Sway control was excellent. Had to pull over with gusting winds pushing my F150 rear end around. 25’ camper trailer. Tightened sway control with the supplied allen wrench (get another as backup) and back on the road. Don’t forget to loosen the sway bolt prior to backing into site. The bracket that attaches to the A frame of my camper tilt when I tow with it. I’ve loosened, straightened, and re tightened to the proper torque specifications, and it still tilts. Tried moving the ball mount up and down. Nothing works. It was professionally installed at an RV dealership at first. But I’ve had to try to get it to stay in place to no avail. Installed on 2000 Expedition and using with 27 Sprinter (around 6000lb) travel trailer. Huge difference in pulling, just did a 750 mile trip. Install correctly (wasn't to bad) and using is very easy. Would very much recommend.
