I had a handyman install six of these all around my 4200 ft² home. My wife is amazed at the quality of the video. Because of the size of my home I had the centrally locate the DVR in the middle of the house so that I could hit all four corners of the house. I even have one mounted on a tree outside. So far I am very happy with it I will experiment to see what the best settings are. These units are solar and self-contained. I bought a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver so that I did not have to have my monitor next to the DVR. I actually ordered a monitor off of Amazon dedicated just for the security system. With my wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver it is not even close to where my DVR is and it works perfectly. I am using a wireless mouse Bluetooth control the DVR remotely from where the monitor is. I am very pleased so far I will update this after I have it for about a month. I am now looking to order more cameras for my system. FYI they have responded to all questions I have through their app. I am really liking this system so far. ** 5/31/2025 Update So I have had the system for approx. a couple of weeks now. Some people have complained that there is not constant live monitoring and recording. First off, you can set it up to always be live and record. I had a system like that in the past. The problem with always recording and being live apart from this being a battery solar camera system, is scolling through your DVR to find actual footage you need. In my previous system, it was basically useless trying to find footage you wanted. Luckily, I did not have a need in my previous system to find footage for law enforcement, etc. In this system, using the app is probably the best way to use the system, but the DVR is nice as well. On my front and side doors I have it set up to record all motion and not just the human mode, because I want to know what is happening at the doors. On my other cameras I found that this setting makes a recording and alert on the app for leafs moving, bugs, etc., so I did not set this up for my other cameras only the ones at the doors. The app is color coded for human movement or just movement, you can view on a timeline or in individual clips. Yes they have a could storage solution you can use, but you do not need it to view footage in your cameras or DVR. In the app if you click SD it will show footage stored in the camera on the SD card. This is a robust system that i am still playing with. I have ordered 4 additional cameras. Two of them will be installed in-doors with a dedicated powered USB plug instead of solar, two more will go outside. I highly recommend this system.

Excellent Camera System – Great Value and Performance This camera system is incredibly easy to set up and use. The value for the price is outstanding. The video and sound quality from the cameras is excellent, and there’s no need for a monthly subscription, which is a huge plus. It includes a base station with its own hard drive, allowing all recordings to be stored locally with easy access through the app or by connecting the base to a video screen. It provides 24/7 surveillance with reliable motion detection and clear night vision, giving you peace of mind around the clock. Customer service is also top-notch. I reached out with questions about compatibility with other cameras, and they were extremely helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this camera system for anyone looking for affordable, dependable home or property security.

UPDATE: System will NOT support two step authentication for e-mail. Most e-mail systems have moved to this. So, your only option is using the app which I would rate as a 1 out of 5 if you do not want to use an app. If you do not mind using an app and you are careful to follow guidance and NOT have vehicle traffic in your camera view, I would give the system a 4 out of 5. You cannot set triggers for alarms to be set only by people. The app ignores that and triggers on vehicle traffic as well as on person traffic. I have spent hours with support at the company (nice people, with a delay since they are in China) who did not make the system or the software so are not able to help. I have also worked with tech support from Gmail and others to see if they can support SSL instead of TSL and two step. Forget it. The quality of the parts supplied is very good. The solar panels are excellent and work well if you have sufficient sunlight hitting them. The mounts are excellent and work well. Tech support tries very hard to be responsive to your issues, they just have limited capability for extensive support. The cameras are more than reasonable, especially for the price. I just did not want an app based system, so it does not work for me. ************************ Original review: Ok, there are a ton of issues with this system. First, the people selling the system are nice and do respond but are in China so there is a time and day lag. Even as such, they try to help. The problem appears to be that they are NOT the designer of the system, but a reseller of someone else's software and hardware. As such, they do not understand their system which makes it difficult for them to assist. As an example, the system offers a node function which allows each camera to act as a repeater creating a mesh system. The problem is the firmware does NOT support that. The company does not apparently have access to the upgrade and only sends pictures of how to load the firmware, but NO firmware and no website to download it from. The app will arbitrarily switch from pro mode to normal mode which limits what you can do. There is no apparent way to get into pro mode, it just happens on occasion. Alarm settings are awkward and inconsistent. While there is a selection for movement or for people, it will only work on the particular camera you have up and if you move to a different camera, it goes back to default which trips an alarm on event, not on people. Not helpful if you have a street that the camera sees and you only want an alarm from a person walking up to your home. Instead, you will get every vehicle that passes by. While camera quality appears good, they fog up easily and get very blurry in fog and distort. If you mount these outside, ensure they are under an eve to protect the lens from rain. While the solar cell works well when there is sufficient daylight, these do NOT work where there is no direct sun!!! You will need outside power. It is easy to change the hard drive and it is very inexpensive. As seems usual, there is NO documentation for the app. It is a trial and error method of learning which is beyond reason for a commercial product. Documentation is terrible to non-existent. The camera system uses a private wifi network. That only means that the devices are precoded with SSID and password. Thus, if you knew the SSID and password, you would be able to create a working mesh network that extended the range of the cameras. Support does not apparently know how that works. There is a way to block recording of an area in the camera’s view, but that does not mean that events in that area will not trip the system. So, do not think you can mask off an area, such as an employee smoking area, so that it will not trip an alarm. The smoking area will NOT be visible in the recording, but people in it will still trip an alarm. Bottom line, if you have a lot of time and energy to put into figuring out what you can and cannot do and are very flexible about how you do things and do not particularly care about how the alarms come in, this can be a fun system to play with. Certainly, the camera quality is decent and the hub is ok. Firmware, app, support, and documentation make it a non-usable system for me. You may get better results if you are willing to pay for cloud storage and such, but I did not try it.
